We NEED to concentrate on VOTES *NOT* money!!!

We need to concentrate on getting votes!! Not money!! Millions of Americans don't know what the primaries are!!! We have to continue spreading the message and getting people to register to vote in the PRIMARIES!!!! THIS SHOULD BE OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY NOT NO STINKIN MONEY BOMBS!!! He already had $18,000,000!! That's GREAT, so now we should just concentrate on NEW VOTERS!! Understand?!?!?
»

I say we do both....
Get slim jims from the campaign-you are donating money that way,and hopefully garnering votes...their content definitely grabs a bit of attention [some of them, anyway].
Print out mailing labels with primary info for whatever state you are in,a website and deadline date, for example. Stick it to the slim jim [or card or whatever you are passing out]....Two with one!!!!
Reminds people to register, gives them a resource to do so immediately.
Yea buying slimjims is good
Yea buying slimjims is good idea...but I'm saying money bomb is not worth it for the effort it takes to spread the date and such.
And donate to those Jeremiah Black ads?
to get those ads on local stations-currently in Iowa and NH,then SC and so forth...Then no complaining with the types of ads the official campaign staff are coming up with. They will target their part of the market, and as someone else said here, each supporter will do their own thing.
Those JB ads are quite good. Cable t.v. and otherwise would be a good emphasis,in my opinion.
Big Money Is ESSENTIAL!!!!
Please understand that the ONLY reason Ron has been invited on the Meet The Press show (this Sunday) is because of the money we have raised for him. They know he can now buy lots of mass media advertising and have a real chance at having an effect on the election (and maybe even winning it).
Read the first half of this article in which Harry Browne was interviewed during his 2000 presidental run and note the obvious similarities with the rEVOLution.
http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewPolitics.asp?Page=/Politics/archi...
Note especially the disrespect the Browne campaign got from Meet the Press? They wouldn't tell his press secretary what would be necessary to earn an invitation to the show. Well, we now have our answer to the question: raising nearly $20 million in one financial quarter.
Consider it a Law of the Universe: Media Respects Money
And here's another Law: The Mass Public Won't Recognize Your Candidate Until The Media Start Talking About Him
So, please! Keep that money rolling into the campaign!!!! (and do the many other things we do to persuade people of our great cause)
Money and Votes
the moneybombs definitely help to dispel second thoughts about Paul's viability among potential converts. Of course votes are the bottom line, but moneybombs are a great component of a balanced portfolio, if you will.
Note how the Old Media/Old Political structure requires candidates to meet & greet with the established base @ $1000 a plate dinners.
That's the meat and potatoes of the old politicking (McCain has indicated this is least favorite part of politics) and yet, these moneybomb events serve to generate Paul substantial cash flow, provide great talking points for Paul's canvassers and the media, and free Paul up to Spread the Word to the People (rather than the $1000 a plate club).
We need to focus on both.
We need to focus on both. Votes first, so that means getting out on the street and attracting to the campaign so they can donate. Money comes next and will most likely fall in place once we have the huge support we get from trying to get votes on the street.
That's a BIG 10-4!
Get with your local meetup groups and get busy!

We have boocoo bucks right now. Let's start working on getting more folks informed and ready to vote in the primaries. I love the passion and energy that has been generated from the Tea Party & GB interview! Let's put that buzz to work for something tangible like MORE Ron Paul supporters. Spread the rEVOLution, increase our numbers.
Get up! Get out! Get active!
This forum topic is lacking rational thought
More money equals more supporters
More supporters equals more money
More money and supporters equals more votes
So if we want to do another money bomb, what is so wrong with that?
How much planning in total man hours does it take to set up a money bomb? You've got the guys who run the website and track pledges. Everything is already in place anyway.
We're not going to stop giving Dr. Paul money. We need to keep pouring it in. But that doesn't take a lot of time or effort. I spent all of 37 seconds of effort on the last money bomb. 10 seconds to put the money aside. 27 seconds to donate it on the 16th. How does that take away from my ability to get new voters?
This is just really illogical. Bomb away! Keep up the good work everyone. I look forward to raising $8 million for Dr. Paul in Jan-Feb or whenever the next one is.

I'm saying money bombs won't
I'm saying money bombs won't be as affective. The media won't report on it.
Agree. Money bombs don't
Agree. Money bombs don't work as we really plan them to work. So, lets rally together and get more people in the campaign, the money is sure to poor in steadily.
are you serious?
Dr. Paul did like 6 interviews yesterday? How many did he turn down? He did a bunch more today. He was on Glenn Beck for an hour because we pestered him to death (some threatened to do it literally hahah), but also because WE are taken seriously because WE can raise a sh&tpot full of money. Everything we do, helps the campaign, including raising a sh&tpot full of money. In fact, if you ranked them in terms of what activities have the best chance of getting the message out, raising money would be right at the top of the list, no?
Look, my problem isn't with the idea of getting votes. Of course we need to do that. More supporters, more canvassing, it's all awesome stuff.
Not only that, we haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg in terms of payoffs. The money buys advertising, and those effects aren't felt overnight.
But this sudden anti-money bomb sentiment that is present in this thread is not based on rational thought.

Yes, but most of those
Yes, but most of those interviews were 3-5 mins long and the Glenn Beck interview was set up beforehand, so therefore was not a result of the bomb. 3-5 minute interviews don't really help
Bumbpity Bumb Bumb
I agree, but we should do it in a way that generates MSM response. We are the campaign that does craazy outsider things and gets attention for it. Who else would have come up with moneybombs or a blimp. We should keep focused on getting votes - that had to be the goal all along.
Any ideas on how to get votes in a way that gets attention. Cable news facetime is dearly needed.
They go hand in hand
Money and votes go hand in hand. If Ron Paul raises a lot of money more people will start taking him seriously and more people will research him.
I agree with you but the
I agree with you but the beauty of a grass roots campaign is that you are completely free to do what you want. I won't be donating to any more money bombs but I have put up a Ron Paul billboard in my town. I am buying a space at our local flea market on the weekends to play RP dvds and hand out literature. Have fun and get the word out. Let the others do what they want.
How to be a delegate
A few weeks back somebody posted a lot of good information and a link about how to be a delegate. I thought I had saved it, but can't find it now. Hopefully that person can jump back in. I've tried various searches here on the dailypaul, but can't come up with it. Michael, can you find it?

Does anyone agree?
Does no one agree we NEED more votes rather that more $$$?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?
I totally agree
We can't win without votes. The best way for me is to talk to my neighbors, which i find enjoyable. And as soon as my next DVD order arrives, I'll be sending out a large mailer to people I know. I'll include a short note encouraging them to please watch the DVD. I intend to include voter registration forms as well.
David Cameron
very much agree
that it is time to stop focusing on fund raising and youtube and stuff like that and actually get out and get in contact with the voters in your primary. In some states thats easier because the primaries are open, in others where they are closed you will need to get the list of registered republicans from your local board of elections.
To that end, please refer to this post at my meetup's website - it explains what we have been doing in our door-door efforts and provides material which can be used in other states.
