Hello all, my name is Mike, I'm with one of the other southern Missouri meetup groups putting the Ron Paul-a-thon event together.

The idea of all of our activities is to reach as many prospective Ron Paul supporters as we can in our respective areas. We find in our area that there are still a good many who still haven't heard of Ron Paul or who have just enough to spark an interest and want to know more about him, we wanted to try to reach as many as possible in a big way, thus the Southern Missouri Ron Paul-a-thon.

This event is designed to be an informational event for the general public as well as an energetic supporter rally. The goal is to attract potential RP supporters, educate them on the critical condition our country is in, and to describe Dr. Paul's stance on these issues. Hopefully we end out with 200-300 Ron Paul maniacs!

We already have several good speakers lined up with others pending confirmation. There will be a 9'x12' video screen presentation offered and we are looking at setting up a live video feed of the event. We also plan to have a live remote from one of the area radio stations. The live radio remote is very significant as it gives the event a solid weeks worth of daily advertising prior.

We are fortunate to have some professional help in putting this together and in promoting it. We really want to make a good show of this and are all working hard to see it thru. If you can help with expenses, please do. ChipIn!

Any RP supporters in the region, please come and help give this thing some energy, Energy is what intrigues people and gets them to looking for the source. I've had more than one person comment to me about my campaign activities. The fact that someone like me is out actively promoting a candidate makes them interested.

We just got confirmation that the state chairmam of the constitutional party will be there to speak on Paul.

You might look up Springfield City Councilman Doug Burlison. He is a Ron Paul supporter. He is not a huge name, but if you are looking to fill some speaking slots, he might do it.
