Citizens Criminals For Reading Wikileaks?

Military Prosecution of US citizens?
-----------------------------------

Almost anyone in the United States, and especially soldiers or the families of US Air Force members, could be under the threat of prosecution by the military, according to a recent "guidance" document issued by the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) public affairs office.

Well, I hope

that they have enough jail cells for all the government agents and military commanders who have read it.

Oh, I forgot!
These oppressions are only for the "little people".
The "Evil Rulerz" get to do whatever they want, and we are taxed to pay for it.

I guess I am criminal

because I posted on DP video of a helicopter killing innocent journalists and civilians that Wiki released.

A "criminal"

Is anyone who refuses to obey the politicians' orders.  Which may be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on the "law."  Any law that doesn't protect life, liberty or property is a threat to life, liberty or property.   There is WAY too much respect for "law" in our society, and WAY too little regard for individual moral responsibility.

Wikileaks is an inside

Wikileaks is an inside job

Bogus story

This violates the UCMJ and the Constitution.

As all of us who have held security clearances know, we can be prosecuted for confirming classified data in the media. However, NO ONE can censor what we read. Remember, without the rule of law, government authorities are no more than thugs with guns.

Thugs with guns

"Remember, without the rule of law, government authorities are no more than thugs with guns."

Not quite correct. Without popular respect for the superstition that some men have a moral right to rule others, more people would realize that government is nothing but thugs with guns.

Ron Paul - Don't Prosecute Wikileaks...

Texas Rep. Ron Paul doesn’t think the government should charge WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange with treason, arguing that the Australian who facilitated the unprecedented document dump should be considered part of the free press.

I have doubts about the

I have doubts about the validity of this story. There is a lot of propaganda on the Internet. But let me say this for the record: American citizens are free to read anything they wish or to listen to any broadcast they desire. We don't allow our politicians to control what information we have access to.

They work for us, and the sooner they realize it, the better.

I absolutely agree that there

I absolutely agree that there is a lot of propaganda on the Internet, but unfortunately it is an incorrect assumption that American citizens are free to read anything they wish. I have an aquaintance who works for the IRS. She has validated the information that, as a government employee, she is not permitted to read Wikkileaks cables. :(

There's a simple distinction

There's a simple distinction that's being overlooked here. As an American citizen, I have the right to free speech, which allows me to badmouth my employer. However, as an employee, my job is still at risk. The same applies when my employer is the government. There's really no civil liberties issue here.

Freedom Wins!

So basically

the federal reserve and its private bankers have said that she isn't allowed to read the cables. She is not a US "Government" employee, only an IRS employee.

Funny...

she thinks that she's a government employee:

And the sooner we realize it, the better.

There has

been talk that Raw Story is a front "news" org. I haven't been able to find any solid evidence though.

"If this mischievous financial policy [greenbacks], which has its origin in North America, should become endurated down to a fixture, then that government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off its debts and be without debts. It will hav

Better not be -

Pure B.S. - but then, what else can one expect from today's big brother government.
