I may be wrong but...
All of the posts re: "He's stealing from the taxpayers to fund his poorly budgeted campaign spending sprees" posts may be a little off, since the matching funds come from the voluntary checkbox on your tax forms.
It's more of a case of him fleecing the sheep... voluntary dopey sheep.
I know most of you didn't, but be sure to NOT donate your $2 or whatever per 1040 form to the presidential matching fund!

In looking at John McCains filing for matching funds I noticed; 763 donors.
Why do so many candidates get mentioned on national media when they have so little public support?
Example McCain only received donations of less than $200.00 from 763 people!
Ron Paul received donations of under $200.00 from many thousands of Americans. CNN reported that Ron Paul had been mentioned about 4,950 times by the national media in the last year and John McCain was mentioned over 90,00 times.
Isn't it time for Ron Paul to be mentioned about 18 times as often as McCain?
Shouldn't we let the networks know that the news reporting needs to be more balanced???? The public can still do the math & see the reporting.

I never elect to give to the
presidential election campaign fund. I always believed if people like you they will support you without a welfare system. I'm disgusted at how our dmv pushes it though during license renewal.

No one would take this money unless they really needed to. It shows that he doesn't have any supporters so he has to steal from the taxpayers. And this is conservative??? How can he say he wants to cut down on Pork when he has no problem taking money for free?????

I think we're all pretty much down on matching funds, although, like any other liberal solution, they are an attempt to level the playing field and take some corruption out of the system.
That being said, I don't think anybody that has already had a failed run for the Presidency should qualify. How many times must we reject you?

There's a 10 million spending limit overall and a 200k per state spending limit to qualify. He spent 28 million already by the end of the third quarter.

I'm from AZ and I must admit, before I woke the hell up I voted for this tool. For that I apologize to all of my fellow Americans. But the Democrats didn't even run someone against him so he would have won anyways.
We as a nation must send this tool and his "straight talk express" right back here to AZ where we can dismantle it and sell it for scrap. If McCain insists on being a politician we can build him a "Bullshit Express" and send him down to Mexico because that is where he belongs.

Oddball, you're spot-on! I live in AZ too and McCain is nothing but a tool. So is Kyl. My job within the rEVOLution will not be done until these two douche-bags get kicked to the curb. If the dem's don't put up somebody to run against them next time, or the rep's don't challenge them, I'm sure now that many of us have "woken up" that we won't have to go far before we find some "RP Republican" to run against and oust them.

Should issue an attack press release stating that accepting matching funds is immoral and a theft of the people and is hypocritical of McCain to rail against prok barrel spending, but take money from the people for himself... This would contrast the differences, and is not a personal attack...
