Americans Hoarding Light Bulbs Ahead Of “Outrageous” Government Ban

http://www.prisonplanet.com/americans-hoarding-light-bulbs-a...

Americans have begun hoarding incandescent light bulbs ahead of a government ban next year that has been labeled “outrageous” by one pressure group as Ron Paul leads a charge in Congress to repeal the draconian state phaseout of Thomas Edison’s iconic invention.

A 2007 bill signed in to law by President George W. Bush mandates that, “Manufacturers will no longer be able to make the 100-watt Thomas Edison bulb after Jan. 1, 2012, followed by the 75-watt version in Jan. 2013, and the the 60- and 40-watt bulbs in Jan. 2014.”

The legislation mirrors similar laws in Europe, where incandescent bulbs began to be phased out in 2009. The EU also plans to ban halogen bulbs by 2016, forcing people to use compact fluorescent lamps, or CFLs, which produce a poor quality of light with an attendant flicker affect that causes many people to become dizzy and ill.

“Neurologists are increasingly taking notice of the headaches and migraines being reported by people exposed to compact fluorescent light bulbs,” writes Mike Adams, noting that electromagnetic pollution caused by the so-called “energy efficient” bulbs is “causing devastating health effects on some people.”

The so-called “dirty energy” emitted by CFLs produces radiation that has been linked with migraine headaches, sleep abnormalities, fatigue, and other health defects.

CFLs are also more harmful to the environment because they are filled with toxic mercury that contaminates the environment when the bulbs reach the landfill.

“A report released in 2008 from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection revealed that when a CFL bulb is broken, it can release dangerously high levels of mercury into the air,” writes Ethan Huff.

“In Toronto, city officials require people to dispose of CFL bulbs at special hazardous waste facilities because they don’t want the city’s landfills to become contaminated with mercury. While used CFL bulbs are not legally recognized as hazardous waste, they are treated as such because they pose serious environmental threats when broken and released into the environment.”

The more you spend

the more the gov't takes in.

That is all it is.

We need to keep this bumped for patriots.

Thanks for the story Legalize.

"How does it feel to live in a dictatorship?"

That's what I replied to the W-mart clerk when she commented on my basket full of light bulbs. Everyone within earshot froze; like a scene from The Day The Earth Stood Still. In a flash though, they all quick went back to business. It's like everyone knows, but do not want to confront it.
Nevertheless, this is a good "wakeup tool".

Undo what Wilson did

Bought 2 cases of 60 watt 4 packs

about a month ago. (96 bulbs) And intend to buy more.

My issue is the convenient heat they produce under the well housing on the rare, but occasional extremely cold night to prevent a pipe freeze, and in the chicken coop as well for a few extra degrees.

The new ones are useless for that.

Also the new ones are useless for fast light when it's cold. Like in a basement, garage, or outside. Not very good in an emergency situation.

They take forever to achieve max luminosity.

Heat Balls :)

"You gotta hand it to German businessman Siegfried Rotthaeuser, who came up with a brilliant run around the European Union ban on conventional incandescent light bulbs — he rebranded them as "Heat Balls" and is importing them for sale as a "small heating device."

~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

I use the new ones, but:

I have saved all of the old ones and even bought many many more incandescent bulbs along with collecting up all of the ones my neighbors have changed. I have hundreds of them.
My electric bill went down because of the using the new ones so that is good.
I am a little scared of them though. I have seen where sometimes they will blow out, as a bulb will do, and then the ballast, or whatever that thing is will get hot and even burn a hole through. It is my understanding that they have caused quite a number of fires.
I'm always telling my kids not to leave the lights on.

I love my country
I am appalled by my government

I use the new bulbs and saw a 30% drop in my electric bill.

Another "republican" move by Bush.

W. Bush did more damage to the republic than anyone since FDR.

That is my belief.

Bush was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

But I never voted for him. And his dad (Mr. New World Order" and ex-CIA head) wasn't much better.

And count me in as one of those light bulb hoarders.

Good find,

just plain insanity.

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

If you do the research

You will find that fluorescent blubs flash a thousand times per second which cause eye-strain which cause headaches.

What should be banned are the bulbs we are now being FORCED to use. I do a lot of reading at night and now I will be forced to have headaches all the time. Am I the only one here that even cares about this? You should be. We all need to sue big time!!!

"The body is but a vessel for the soul,
A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny.
And lo, the body is not eternal,
For it must feed on the flesh of others,
Lest it return to the dust whence it came.
Therefore the soul deceives and despises."

I think you have to call

a sanitation company specialized in hazardous material if one CFL breaks. You can´t vacuum, and can´t wash anything that came in contact and you can´t throw anything in the garbage.
Since it broke, you probably got exposed anyway, since most damage is done within 15 minutes in the air. Better hope your kids don´t brake any bulbs.

The goal must be for people to be exposed to Mercury, cause it´s otherwise just plain moronic.

I think I´m gonna buy a big pack normal bulbs this year, while they are still here.

It just

highlights(pardon the pun) the psychopathic nature of these creatures that inhabit the gov't.

They might not be "reptilians" like Icke claims, but they sure are some form of sub-human species.

the nature of evil...

the nature of evil to me it is some form of mental illness and I think in some instances it can be curable.
