Fox News' Ron Paul Problem - How Fox Spun Ron Paul's CPAC 2010 Straw Poll Win
Submitted by TheLibertyUnder... on Sat, 02/12/2011 - 11:52If you're wondering, how the Conservative media outlet, Fox News, would cover this year's ongoing CPAC event, and which Republican they'll push forward to be the potential candidate to take on President Obama in the 2012 Presidential elections, the above clip should give you more than an idea.
At the last year's conference, Ron Paul emerged as the Straw Poll winner by an overwhelming majority beating other mainstream Republicans like Sarah Palin and Mike Huckleberry (who also happen to be on Fox News payroll, coincidentally). This obviously didn't go down well with the Conservative news network's executives and their anchors went on a crusade to belittle and downplay the importance of the poll. It certainly didn't do any good to whatever little credibility that Fox did have, because they were all praises for the Neo-conservative Mitt Romney when he emerged as the winner in the previous 3 straw polls.

They can't fool everybody. Many people will wonder why they are trashing the winner and be exposed to the freedom movement that way. It happened during the last election and it will happen this time too!

People today trust the media as much as the politicians . Ron needs a V.P. with flare and the same message .Elections consist of only 1/2 the population voting, most of which are voting against someone not for someone. The other half does not vote out of apathy not laziness. Giving people something true to believe in would have more credible and ripple effect like qualities.The media has not yet given Dr. Ron respect when it matters most. Like the youth of world and those who have not given in to status quo must make the ideas of LIBERTY,FREEDOM and JUSTICE, perspectives again and never let those around us settle for the "throwing my vote away" mentality.In 2008 I wrote in Ron Paul and felt inspired doing so .

Just said that Dr Paul (and Mitt) spent tons of money brining people in, paying for their (expenses) to have them vote for them. FOX didn't challenge it and it was the most damaging statement made to marginalize the poll yet.

The MSM has treated Paul a lot better over the past two years than they did during the 2008 campaign. He's constantly asked to comment on economics and is almost always praised with a humbling introduction the majority of the time. Sure you will have the nit picked segments above, not all of which were that bad, but there are also many other clips which show him in fine light.

as soon as Dr. Paul was no longer in the running. Now that election time is around the corner and there is something at stake again, we can expect many more attacks like this one. The MSM talking heads didn't turn into boyscouts/girlscouts all of the sudden!

The Pox News anchor-lady, immediately upon hearing the leak that Ron Paul had won (about 10 minutes before the official announcement), said that "The real story isn't that Paul had won for the second year in a row, but that Romney came in second." What?
They also called it the "first early indicator" of who might be the "likely" candidate... Until the good Doctor wins, and then suddenly it's "non-scientific" and look how inaccurate it has been in previous races...
