517 487 5413 is being answered at the MIGOP HQ.

I spoke to a woman who denied they want Paul out of the debates. I reminded her that the MIGOP blog entry by Saul called for it, and it was not Saul, the private citizen, but Saul the state party chairman calling for it.

She said she would forward my comment.

I also called my county GOP office, and they denied knowledge.

I called..

The woman told me that he changed his mind. I wish I would have gotten that on tape. Someone call her and record it!!! We have to get this out to the media!

I also asked her to tell the Saul to put up a retraction.

No retraction and the Blog entry is still up

saying

I was approached by many RNC members who offered to sign our petition to condemn Congressman Paul’s comments about the terrorist attack on 9-11 and shared in my frustration that he was articulating the policies of the Democrats more than those of any Republicans.

Note it says "OUR petition".

They were quick about disabling the contact us page, so why the difficulty adding a blog entry and/or press release or whatever?

1 on 1 might be fine, but the offending blog entries are still there with nothing to counter them. Please ask them for a pointer to the retraction (if one exists), or as a courtesy to place it someplace prominent so everyone can find it.

I suggested that...

I suggested that they update their website with the NEW information if they want the calls to stop. They said they were getting it out to the news.

I'll post any link as soon as I can find it

Which news? I hope not some mouseprint between the wedding and funerals in the Iron Mountain paper. I'm out of town, but the papers and radio stations have web pages.

And their own website has an area for press releases. Is it just me, or wouldn't you expect to find something there first?

Just talked with them

I spoke with Dawn, I imagine this is the same woman you spoke to. She states that no petition is going to be filed, and that they're "letting constituents know about it." She was very polite and helpful! Keep up the good work everyone.

Talked to the MIGOP

They have changed their mind and are not filing a petition to keep him out of the debates. Wonder why, it isn't like Ron Paul has any real support other than spammers.:)

Who was right Rudy or Ron? (By Pat Buchanan)

"Ron Paul is no TV debater. But up on that stage in Columbia, he was speaking intolerable truths. Understandably, Republicans do not want him back, telling the country how the party blundered into this misbegotten war. By all means, throw out of the debate the only man who was right from the beginning on Iraq."

Some advice for Ron Paul (By Ilana Mercer)

"Ron Paul is the exception. As Rudy Giuliani and his posse flap like black crows over Rep. Paul, we'd do well to remember that, unlike most of his colleagues, Paul understands that truth is timeless, not temporary. September 11 didn't change that al-Qaida (the aggressors), not Iraq, needed to be punished for killing innocent Americans. September 11 didn't alter the wisdom of John Quincy Adams' counsel that America not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy, but remain the well-wisher of the freedom and independence of all, but the champion and vindicator only of her own."
