Are you feeling a Tipping Point?
Submitted by TheOnlyHope on Wed, 12/19/2007 - 23:56After all the media exposure of Ron Paul post Tea Party including many interviews with the Good Doctor, The Millions of Dollars raised AGAIN, The Blimp Launch, Time Magazine naming Paul as a Person of the Year, Democratic Underground's forum with postings about Ron Paul signs all over the country and the video clip from the St Louis FOX news station of Guiliani's arrival with dozens of Paul supporters in the backround, I'm feeling that just as Ron Paul began to go viral on the internet sometime ago, that is about to happen IN THE STREETS!
The Time is NOW! The REVOLUTION is here!
»

Go Go Go!!!
Take it the STREETS! Talk to the people about Ron Paul. At least 1 new person a day! Paint your towns red, white and RON PAUL! We can do this!
For me, it was the Debate
I watched the debate in June? and was like "Who Is This Guy?". So, I texted messaged Paul as the winner. After that debate, I felt like, whether I have yet decided to vote for him or not, he won because he peaked my interest.
The text results came back and he was winning.... The moment that Hannity said, "There is NO WAY Ron Paul won the debate" and "It's just a bunch of kids stuffing the vote", I became PISSED.
Here, I was 40 years old, Business Owner, registered Republican since the Reagan era, and never texted messaged in my life AND this NEOCON (I didn't know what neocon meant at the time) is telling me that I'm just some stupid kid with nothing better to do.
As my 13 year old son states, "The more you ignore him, the stronger he'll get".
Yes, I've read the book about Tipping Point.... I have a strong sense of recognizing sweeping events like these. I'd take a small group of passionate supporters at the beginning than a large room of casual supporters, any day.
President Paul
Even Bush Is Worried About Ron
I watched the Bush press meeting this morning and he made references against a policy of isolationism and non-intervention. He said it two or three times at what appears to be an attempt by the President to scare his supporters and Republicans away from Ron, as Ron has been accused of having these types of policies. Is Bush afraid of Ron Paul? He should be, because not many people support Bush and his policies.
I'd like to see it.
Does anyone have a link to that clip of Bush?
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." - Romans 12:18
Brilliant article that explains why we love Dr. Paul:
http://lewrockwell.com/orig12/farber-r1.1.1.html
WOW, Paul has influenced a BUSH Press Conference?
It's VERY important that we critique any commentator or the Media if they use "isolationism". Paul is a NON-Interventionalist! The distinction is HUGE.
the tipping point was the first quarter
the tipping point was the first quarter when I made my first donation to Ron Paul's campaign. ever since, Ron Paul's campaign has gotten bigger every quarter and has never tipped the other way.
Hell yeah, and
for me, when I saw youtube vid of Dr. Paul shaking hands outside the building after the recent CNN/Youtube debates, for the first time, I saw Dr. Paul as OUR NEXT PRESIDENT. Anyone know what I mean?
But, hell yeah, you'll see people going viral IN THE STREETS about this guy very soon, I agree 100%!
I feel it too ..
BTW to add to your list ... Dr. Paul's response to Cavuto (most popular at Digg in last 24 hrs) and his third place tie in Iowa (latest WaPo poll). Expect a bigger wave of articles on fundraising when the FEC announces the 4th quarter numbers in early Jan. Topping 20 million will be icing on the cake!
these reporters
these reporters are secretly going to vote for ron paul, name it, cavuto, oreilly,hannity.... im sure they hate to pay taxes, they know where their taxes go, they know war is pointless. 'cause at the end of the day, they have bills to pay. and they know it's only dr. ron paul can help them.
Exposure is Key
Exposing more people to Dr. Paul's message is spreading.
I wear my RP button all day long as I Christmas shop. Everyone asks me, "Who is Ron Paul" and I give a little spiel then give them a slim jim and direct them to his website.
They get excited, I get excited, let's ALL get excited.
Great Job! Exposure is everything!
Time is getting short. Everybody we talk to and convert is needed now! Wearing Ron Paul is an easy way to spread the general feeling of inevitability. There are a lot of people that need that kind of reassurance---they don't want to be radical!
The YouTube video I would "like" to see...
Polling stations, empty now, with the theme music from JAWS playing in the background. Then one-by-one, growing in numbers, photos or videos mixed in of Ron Paul supporters all over the country, flashing back occasionally to the currently-empty voting/polling stations....
That's what I'm feeling right now :-)
Dr. Pauls only weakness...
... his is paid campaign staff. To this day, I do not understand why CBS or ABC have not televised Dr. Paul interviews. Wouldn't you dedicate someone to sit outside an executives suite until the interview was televised? r3VOLution baby...
Kick! Kick! Push push push! Kick! Kick! Push push push!

Absolutely! And Push Harder
Huckabee's surge is deflating and openned up a gap for Dr. Paul. The recent media exposure is having an effect and nobody can deny the fears about the economy. Dr. Paul is the only candidate backed by Mad Man Cramer and the only man with answers. Now is the time to flood the blogs with info on the other issues, like border security and pardons for Ramos and Campeon. We must keep the Blimp aloft! We all now the poll numbers are not accurate, and a strong showing in Iowa and NH will topple these MSM talking heads.
You are so right.
WE THE PEOPLE have done this. The media has tried EVERYTHING to silence us, and they believe it has worked. BUT those of us who have done our homework and actually taken the time to understand the Ron Paul platform and then taken our understanding to the rest of the country is getting it done. PEOPLE ARE FED UP. It is true! We just need to keep getting these type of conversations started all over the country. For every ONE person we convince, they will convince their close friends and family. The support will grow exponentially. Two weeks is a lifetime in a campaign such as this, especially in the "information age". Iowa is wide open and we can easily be in the top three. Then New Hampshire should be a win, but even 2nd is acceptable. From that point on, the people we haven't convinced will finally, hopefully do their own research and it's smooth sailing from there on in. Never give up the fight! Freedom is just around the corner.
Yes and I am holding my breath
.
The media have been quite cordial to RP in recent weeks. Well, since November 5th, and probably before that. The smear pieces that appear on Drudge and elsewhere tend to be toward Giuliani, Romney and Huckabee. Not much about Thompson or Ron Paul.
Ron Paul has gained enormous respect. He is no longer being called a nut case, supporters are no longer being called basement-dwelling geeks and there's money in the bank. There was a little flurry of activity about money from a supremacist, but Paul handled that with dispatch: keeping the money, no background checks of donors.
I am holding my breath that the Blimp stays aloft, that RP does well in the primaries (no vote shenanigans) and that he continues to gain support as he has done. As I have posted here before, his campaign is one of miracles - a series of them - that seem to happen at the right moment. I am happy.
.
New supporters everyday
I emailed a friend from work the other day who I knew was a voter. I told her to check out the Ron Paul site since we have had in depth political discussions in the past. She wrote back and said he sounded interesting but she needed to know more. After the Glenn Beck interview which she saw (I did not tell her about it) she wrote to me again and said her and her husband thought he was a great candidate but they were concerned that it would be another Ross Perot. I explained that this is different because he is running as a Republican and can get the support of Republicans and be a candidate in the primaries and told her that he is already a congressman well informed on policies. Needless to say, she emailed me again to tell me that her and her husband are both registered republicans and they will be voting for him.
Kudos!!
Kudos!!
Funny, but you know...
I was out to dinner last night with my wife, and we decided to sit at the bar instead of getting a booth as we always do. It was your typical scene for the week before Christmas, the bar was full, everyone was talking, and the TVs were on showing sports & news.
And then it happened. The news had a brief spot on the Fed's release yesterday of $20B into the economy. The bartender stopped what he was doing for a moment to listen, and as he turned away to continue working he noticed I had been watching too. He asked me what I though about our economy, and whether or not I thought this meant trouble. Well, that was all it took.
I told him that I thought anytime the Fed releases more money, it only means more inflation, more debt, and more money transferred to THEM in the long run. Well, much to my surprise, I happened to be sitting next to a retired economics professor. He couldn't resist joining into our conversation, and soon we were all talking about the general state of our economy, how debt is used by the central banks of the world, and how it is the root of most of the problems we face today.
So as we were talking, I couldn't help but ask who the bartender and the economics professor were supporting in the Presidential race. Neither had made a clear decision, so that's when I suggested that they have a serious look at Dr. Paul.
We talked for a good while longer about his positions on various issues, his voting record, examples of his personal character. It was extremely positive, and as we parted ways, they agreed that they would have to have a good lok at the man we all know is the right man for the job.
So, why have I put this here, in a post about media exposure and a tipping point? I'll tell you...We are the reason that the message will spread. We are responsible for doing more than the media ever could. When you have the chance to sit down and talk to even just a couple poeple at a time, the influence of Dr. Paul's message is amazing. Both of these men had heard the radio ads. They both felt he was just another politician, doing what politicians do best, lie. If I hadn't said a word, would they have searched out the truth about Dr. Paul?
So, I really think old media is dead. Sure it's great to have that 30 second spot ad. It's eye/ear candy for the short attention span theater folks. But unless there's some immediate substance to the message, something meatier than "feel good because ___" the message falls short. It becomes nothing more than what people have come to expect from years of the same from liars.
People, we're the tipping point. We will make or break this, every single one of us. We are WE THE PEOPLE. And Dr. Paul will be our next President. It's up to us, lets do it.
Exactly how we recruit new supporters - strike up a chat!
I have been doing this everywhere I go. First I engage the person in a conversation (like while standing in line shopping) then I ask them if they had heard of the good Doctor (usually I'll start by asking them something about what they are wearing/buying/carrying/etc. ("How about them Red Sox?") and then I ask about the Dr.
I have slim jims and DVDs in my jacket pockets at all times. Everyone loves a free DVD when they say they'd like more information.
"So I see you're buying a scope for your rifle... are you a hunter?" "Are you familiar with Dr. Ron Paul, candidate for President. He is a strong supporter of 2nd amendment rights." "Already heard about him? Great, would you like a couple DVDs and bumper stickers to share with friends?" "Nice to meet you! Thanks for supporting our Constitution and the message of freedom and liberty!"
In Russia people are already sending video of "Giuliani rally"
Here in Russia, the hilarious video of all those Ron Paul supporters at a Giuliani rally is making the rounds by email (yes, I know the video is of a reporter speaking many hours before the rally but it looks to foreigners like it is the actually rally itself).
The rest of the world's conservatives want Ron Paul.
I was for Giuliani until mid-June when he sent me a newsletter email basically saying "I am selling out to special interests that don't include you".
Bandwagon
In the past week, 3 friends that said they hated Ron Paul 6 months ago have become supporters. Two of them have taken stacks of flyers from me to hand out! All I did was email a video every once in a while to my entire address book. Other random people in my office place have been revealing themselves too.
But we cannot rest now! The hardest part is quickly approaching.
I feel it too
What a great week......but look what will probably be coming up very soon....
Tancredo will drop out, leaving the 6 front runners and Duncan Hunter.
We pick up Tancredo's endorsement
We pick up the minutemen's endorsement
The Meet the Press appearance will bring his message to even more non-internet people.
Our amount of supporters pouring into NH and IA are going to really do a great job of getting the message out and assuring at a minimum a very good showing in both states, and possibly a victory or two! :)
The campaigns AND the grassroots start flooding the airwaves speading his message.
We hit $20 Million for the quarter and get to confirm that with an early January FEC filing...MSM continue to spead the rumor that Ron Paul may be the #1 GOP fundraiser.
The thousands of Ron Paul supporters that have been idle either becuase of the distance before the primaries or becuase we seems like such a long shot start coming out and getting active.
Yes, I think the viral speading we've witness on the internet has started to be seen on the streets. I think very soon there will not be a political event without seeing an outpouring of Ron Paul support.
If we do as well as many think we will do in NH and IA.....how can ANYONE stop us!
Almost every one of us are completely and totally commited to the end. It is viral, it will keep speading, and we will win.
The Revolution will be televised (albeit sometimes in the background!)
C-SPAN
is reporting that Tancredo will endorse Thompson or Romney.
Let's hope they are wrong.
No thanks
RP's the outsider candidate, the anti-establishment candidate.
We don't want Tancredo's meaningless endorsement.
But we'll take his alloted time at the next debate. :)
2 more weeks...
All of these things will start paying off large in 2 weeks. He's top 5 in Iowa and he's got the money to keep moving. As he keeps going from state to state he'll get better and better...hopefully there's enough time to get enough card carrying republicans into the tent before the close off dates for changing parties.

No Doubt, New Iowa Numbers Big News
Clearly given the intensity and the fact that many Ron voters that are not making it into the likely voter metric, Ron is 3rd in Iowa. 3rd would be big news cause it would prove that Ron voters are not being accurately counted in the polls.
Can Ron maybe get to 20-22% and steal the number 2 spot in Iowa? He would then make the top page headline.

The Music
Music is a powerful voice in any movement. There are so many artists literally SINGING his praises !
Rap songs, Country songs, Folks songs...and they're getting more and more professional. Original Top 10 material.
I can not believe my ears.
It's happening......
...And, yes, I have seen The Constitution
Tipping point or sea change...
I definitely feel much more upbeat and positive about Ron Paul's chances. It's not my imagination. He has suddenly been getting more respect from the biased media in the past two days.
