Slashdot: US Gov./DHS Mistakenly Shutsdown 84,000 Websites & Domain Names!

Chaonici writes "Last Friday, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seized ten websites accused of selling counterfeit goods or trafficking in child pornography. However, in the process, about 84,000 unrelated websites were taken offline when the government mistakenly seized the domain of a large DNS provider, FreeDNS. By now, the mistake has been corrected and most of the websites' domains again point to the sites themselves, rather than an intimidating domain seizure image. In a press release, the DHS praised themselves for taking down those ten websites, but completely failed to acknowledge their massive blunder."

Hitler would be proud!

This all sounds like Hitler approved government behaviour. I'm not shocked. But I am dissapointed because my view is the government will amass so much power that we WON'T be able to fight back when the s # $ t hits the fan.

Our communications will be effectively cut in the name of national security and we don't have much community left anymore either. Most people don't talk much to their neighbors or have any plans for self defense from Government chaos that may ensue.

Hitler had "Securing the Homeland" the US has "Homeland Security"

Hitler had the Reichstag fire and the US has "9/11"

Hitler had the reigning war in Europe in relation to his false flag Reichstag Fire

The US has the "War on Terror", an undefined war with no limit or goals as to when it will ever end!

Too many similarities for comforts sake!

Everyone says wait till they come for our guns. But by then, I don't think that will matter, because too much power would have been amassed by the Feds to be able to effectively put up a defense! So there will be no need for confiscation first!

They are beta testing for the big one, when the mice really die.

More practicing ongoing with this POTUS "test."

In Case of Emergency, Break the Constitution
Robert Knight 2/16/2011

Did you know that the nation will soon undergo a test that will determine how effectively the President of the United States can seize control of the media in the event of an “emergency?” Well, that’s not the way they’re putting it.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued a press release on Feb. 3 outlining the plan for the “first-ever Presidential alert.” On a date yet to be set, the Presidential alert will go “to television and radio broadcasters, cable systems and satellite service providers who will then deliver the alert to the American public,” according to the FCC.

This is not an opt-in plan. “The national test will require EAS [Emergency Alert System] participants to be part of the exercise and to receive and transmit a live code that includes a Presidential alert message to their respective viewers and listeners.”

In part because they are not

In part because they are not at all sorry.

I do not believe this was a mistake at all, but rather part of a test. Just more terrorism perpetrated by Homeland Security. . .
