Breaking AOL News: Fox News Caught Running Old CPAC Footage After Ron Paul's Straw Poll Win?

This is starting to gain traction, we could get a lot of mileage out of this.

Rep. Ron Paul of Texas won the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, 2011 straw poll with 30 percent of the vote, besting runner-up Mitt Romney by 7 percentage points.

The annual straw poll is considered a bellwether of conservative support in advance of the presidential primary season, though many political analysts say it's a popularity contest, not a meaningful statistic. Paul was also the winner in 2010.

Now attention has shifted to Fox News' coverage of the event. Some are accusing the network of inserting footage from CPAC 2010 -- when disappointed Romney supporters booed Paul's win -- to make it seem as though Paul's 2011 victory was also booed.

In a Fox News clip aired on Tuesday, crowds are heard booing as the CPAC winner is announced. "Probably not the reaction he was hoping for," anchor Bill Hemmer says, then introduces Rep. Paul. "So who was in the audience booing you?" he asks.

MSNBC??

I am sure they would love to embarrass Fox News since they are a major competitor. Should we send this info to MSNBC and ask them to humiliate Fox News for this?

logical reasoning but...

You would think they'd report on this, but historically, when it comes to discrediting Ron Paul the mainstream media seems to keep up a fairly unified front. I bet they don't touch it!

I'm with you, Valley. You'd think these folks from different networks would be killing each other in the streets, but it is eery how they seem to fall in line on certain issues-like the prospect of Ron Paul being President!

That's because they are ALL hiding behind the curtain...

And now we can separate the fat from the milk if they don't stay honest themselves...and they know it. As we all know, there is no right/left world where these people are concerned. It's now coming down to right and wrong...and I so welcome it!

"Some are accusing the network of inserting footage"

"Accusing"?????

I think it's a well established fact, isn't it? Not an accusation. That makes it sound like it MAY be true, when in fact it is just that, a fact.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose
