SanFran to ban circumcision?

to my tonsillectomy, which I consider to be an unnecessary surgery, but was inflicted on me as a kid because it was trendy at the time. Am I angry about it? Yes, a little. Would I support a bill banning all tonsillectomies in people under eighteen? Absolutely not!

I've never personally met a man who's complained about his circumcision, and I know a couple of men who decided to get circumcised as adults, and were nothing but delighted with the results. I can understand a law forbidding circumcision from being a standard procedure at hospitals, so the parents would have to make that decision, but I think parents ought to be able to have that option.

Now, I don't own that equipment myself, so maybe my opinion doesn't rate. I'd be happy to hear from the males out there...

a medical procedure. Are you saying the government has the right to deny a child a medical procedure? Or, conversely, force one, which tends to be the result of the federally mandated vaccination list?

What about the right to follow ones' religion? Are you saying Jews should be forced to leave their boys uncircumcised and the children of Christian Scientists should be forced to take vaccinations, because the government knows better?

I think my view is consistent with libertarianism.

There is nothing inherently Christian about circumcision, as was decided by the Apostles. Christ was circumcised under the old Mosaic law which ended with His death and resurrection.

Nor is it just a Jewish practice. The point here is whether a law should be introduced to ban a long standing practice voluntarily indulged by American citizens for whatever reason. Does this ban (should it become law) circumvent the power and rights of the parents.

This is a barbaric Jewish ritual that medical schools teach as good medicine instead of the brutal, insane act it is. But then medical schools have much influence from Jewish doctors.
