It isn't just Wisconsin...

Democrats are leaving the state rather than vote on anti-union legislation, The Indianapolis Star has learned.

A source said Democrats are headed to Illinois, though it was possible some also might go to Kentucky. They need to go to a state with a Democratic governor to avoid being taken into police custody and returned to Indiana.

The House came into session this morning, with only two of the 40 Democrats present. Those two were needed to make a motion, and a seconding motion, for any procedural steps Democrats would want to take to ensure Republicans don’t do anything official without quorum.

Hi Bob. It isn't just about Wisconsin, and

it isn't just about public employee unions anymore...
The Americans for Prosperity group, a Tea Party group that is a Koch Brothers front, has put up a website and petition called www.standwithwalker.com. The website attacks all collective bargaining – not just for public employees’ unions.
They aim to strip collective bargaining rights from ALL workers! Imo, ALL employees need protection from the mega corporate structures in this country - and all over the world, for that matter - who are bleeding their employees to death. I agree that greed has infiltrated into the unions themselves, but the unions were put in place initially to protect employees from the greed that we see blatantly manifested in the upper levels of mega corporate structures everywhere. Have we learned absolutely nothing from our own history in this country? We need to restructure the unions, NOT abolish them!
Now, I don't know if the Koch Brothers are involved here, but, given their nickname - the "Kochtopus" Brothers, you can bet that if they're not, then their cronies certainly are. "They" are trying to take over the world!
But my intent is not to fearmonger...
It has been said: The last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen. Meaning, those that serve themselves in this life, shall find themselves in a lower place in the worlds to come (aka 'paradise'), while those that willfully choose to do the Will of the Father and serve his or her fellows in this life, shall be given the opportunity to serve in the higher spheres of light with greater responsibility in the co-creation of the universes.
The accumulation of wealth and knowledge in this life will do nothing for you in the 'worlds to come' if it is used for self aggrandizement.
Only through love do you hear the zephyrs of truth that lead the way to eternal life. Love cannot be kept to the self, but by its very nature is to be shared to reap its benefits of joy!

I'm a veteran home educator--

though I have always 'sympathized' with the teaching profession, just not public education, as it has come to be.

However, these problems would not be occurring if it were not for: perpetual, aggressive warmongering and baillouts of big banks.

This is just trickle down, *I* think.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
