7 Foods So Unsafe Even Farmers Won’t Eat Them
Submitted by Annie White on January 20, 2011 – 3:44 pm

We’ve all been told that there are foods that should be avoided; obvious things like high fructose corn syrup and white bread that can cause serious issues from weight gain to cancer. But have you taken the steps to avoid these foods all together? Do you seek to educate yourself about what dangers may be lurking in the foods you think are safe? Some of the items on the list may shock you. They are considered “healthy’” foods serving as basic staples for many families, but they are so adulterated and nutritionally lacking that those who produce it won’t eat it themselves.

is the lining in the tomatoe cans visible?

I do use canned tomatoes. If the can looks like metal inside and out is it OK? Sometimes I have seen a can with a white interior, is that the sign that it has the bad lining in it?

LivingTheDream

I dont think the lining is visible.

just like the microwave popcorn bag, its not visible, (nor are the chemicals listed as ingredients.)

Playing Monopoly With Our Health

The American Dietetic Association (ADA) wants to create a monopoly on state nutritional licensure. This organization which lists among its corporate sponsors soft drink giants Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, cereal manufacturers General Mills and Kelloggs, candy maker Mars, and Unilever, the multinational corporation that owns many of the worlds consumer products brands in foods and beverages already has a stranglehold on who can dispense nutritional counseling at the state level.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

heh

I remember getting some fast food breakfast one morning not to long ago and decided on white milk to drink

When I started to open it I saw in big letters, "Shake well before drinking" and that warning? made me set it down and I ended up throwing it away and haven't really touched milk since

I mean, imo something is definitely not right if you have to shake non-chocolate milk before drinking and they have to warn/tell you to do so

smart move!!

its either Raw Milk or nothing!!

(pasteurized milk is like liquid death!!)

well I guess I got to die of something

I eat a lot of the second and third and about once a week have the first with the second one and some fritos (I make chili).

Thanks for the list and the link.

I could have guessed #2,3,5 and 6. And as long as you specify not organic anything, I could throw that in as well. But I was surprised by #1 and #7.

I'm going to the link now. It will be interesting to find out the reasons.

yes the potatoes on the list kind of sucks

since that includes virtually all french fries everywhere.

I was worried

looks like I can drink my Southern Comfort Old fashions.

Microwave popcorn is my guilty pleasure

Better find a new one...

not so fast...just change it a bit...see this...

safe sane and healthy microwave popcorn. (you can even make it organic)

My dogs actually tipped me off on microwave popcorn....

My dogs love to eat popcorn, but they will NOT touch microwave popcorn and we made both one time just to test it out. It didn't matter how much butter we put on it, they wouldn't eat it.

But when we tossed them the stovetop made popcorn with a little butter, they would eat it right up.

Plus, when I used to eat it, I would feel really sick after.

great article, thanks

I'm certainly not surprised.

The food industry is a mess. Eat raw, eat organic, drink clean fresh spring water.
