I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

I see

that Kelly Ayotte and Jean Shaheen are not on the list. Surprise, surprise! I always get bogus answers when I ask them to co-sponsor. Time to write them again.
N.H.

Just contacted MO D Claire McCaskill.

Just contacted MO D Claire McCaskill.

Q: why isn't this front paged?

A: because the mods are too busy putting gary johnson and batman shooting conspiracies on the front page.

Yup

I was going to say, because the obsession with a lame duck candidacy of Gary Johnson has taken over the website. Pathetic and a complete waste of time.

It needs to be

if we want any shot at getting this bill passed.

We need as many people as we can get to call/email their Senators and keeping it on the front page will help.

The question that must be

The question that must be asked..."and why would that be?"

friends of nystrom

well, for one, nystrom seems to have encircled himself with divisive personality types that have lured him away from the message. the mantra that he has recently embraced is "the movement not about paul." "the movement is not about paul."

and who could argue against that? everyone knows it's not about paul, the man. it was always about liberty. to make it about one man, would go against the very essence of liberty in the first place.

but the suggestion leads to a divisive fallacy.

the argument is that since it's not about paul, the man, then suddenly distractions should be acceptable. it therefore becomes about gary johnson, or at least if not johnson, then rand or kokesh or batman.

the fading of the ron paul logo, and successive re-emergance of the original, is a symptom of a problem and a sign of the infighting.

i truly believe there are forces on here that want the status quo. no audit. no paul for president. no reforming the GOP. no saving this country.

I'm very disappointed in the

I'm very disappointed in the mods as well. I've been posting threads about recent elections and liberty candidates to vote for and the mods refuse to front page them. Is the Batman more important than informing the people of who to vote for and when???

Yes,

I would suppose that is bound to happen as opposition tries to get infront of and lead power.

If at least 10 democrat senators can sign on to it,

it could make others cave.

5 more folks!

Keep calling!

Ron Paul is My President

Need some

Democrat co-sponsors, folks.

Jeff Merkley OR and Jon Tester MT are on the committee and
seem like likely prospects. Anyone heard from either of them?

I've mailed Merkley but no response yet...

Sen Bill Nelson (D) FL is a big fat no

Basically he just fell in party line and said TLDR to the bill. That its covered under the wall street reform bill... also sent an email to Marco Rubio but I see his name is on the list but I have not received a reply from him yet.

Dear Mr.:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Federal Reserve (the Fed) and for sharing your concerns about the actions they’ve taken to stabilize the economy.

The Federal Reserve System was created to provide a ready reserve of liquid assets in case of financial emergency and to formulate monetary policy free from political influence. The seven members of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate to each serve a 14-year term.

I understand the importance of an independent central bank, but I believe the Fed must show more discretion in its actions and provide a greater amount of transparency. That’s why I recently voted in favor of a measure attached to the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (P.L. 111-203) that calls for a comprehensive review of the Federal Reserve's emergency lending activities. Under the terms of the bill, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) was given the authority to audit the Fed to see which companies received trillions in aid, and under what terms. Furthermore, GAO will be able to audit any future emergency actions taken by the Fed under the authority of the Financial Stability Oversight Council. Please visit the following website to find GAO’s first audit of the Federal Reserve’s lending activities: http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d11696.pdf

I know that Americans are worried about the risk of rapid inflation or deflation. Please know that I will continue to support common-sense reforms in the Senate that will strengthen our economy and restore trust in our financial system. If you have any future concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me again.

Sincerely,
Bill Nelson

Thank you for contacting me regarding legislation to audit the Federal Reserve System, specifically the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, S. 202. I agree that transparency and accountability are important for all governmental and public agencies.

I recognize your concerns and also agree that an audit of the Federal Reserve is needed, especially in light of its recent actions and exercise of emergency authority resulting from the ongoing financial crisis. This is why I signed on as a co-sponsor of the Federal Reserve Credit Facility Review Act, S. 1457, during the 111th Congress. That bill was targeted specifically at auditing credit facilities of the Federal Reserve System established as a response to the ongoing financial crisis or as unconventional instruments of monetary policy. The legislation would have authorized reviews by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) of the United States of any credit facility established by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or any Federal Reserve bank, notwithstanding any current restrictions on GAO's access.

I also voted in favor of the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, P.L. 111-203, which will reform the Federal Reserve System to include a limit on the central bank's 13(3) emergency lending authority by prohibiting emergency lending to an individual entity and authorizing the GAO to conduct a one-time audit of all Federal Reserve 13(3) emergency lending which took place during the financial crisis, as well as future ongoing authority to audit 13(3) emergency lending.

You can currently track Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) transactions here: www.financialstability.gov/latest/reportsanddocs.html, and you can find the Federal Reserve monthly reports here: http://federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/clbsreports.htm.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me. I realize the importance of this issue to you and always appreciate hearing from civic-minded Nebraskans such as yourself. Please do not hesitate to contact me again on any other issue of concern to you.

Sincerely,

Ben Nelson

2 of a kind nelsons

lol ya... ludicrous partisanship. Cant cut into their retirement savings by auditing the fed! see my post above. almost exactly identical email.

Hopefully we can get this updated

to show the 23 cosponsors and have this stickied on the front page every day here on out.

It would be a shame if we don't put the same effort into the Senate bill as we did with HR 459.

The Pa Senators

I just emailed Pat Toomey and Bob Casey. Although, I am not sure how much affect it will have. Casey(D) is Schumer's bed buddy and Toomey(R) is a bribe-able Senator like Corker or Alexander.

I hope someday the American people will elect people who do not take bribes and/or who are not globalist puppets bought and paid for by foreigners to destroy our republic. But that is asking a lot. Afterall, it is "hip and trendy" to be down with globalization i.e. banker enslavement.

How much do you owe?

Apparently this happened yesterday, but

Senator Toomey is now a co-sponsor of S 202 according to Toomey's Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/senatortoomey?filter=1
Let's thank him and encourage him to pressure his colleagues to join him!

Well said Galt...to answer your question...

"not a penny."

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783
"I have one word for you...predator drones. Oh, you think I'm kidding?" Obombya

You are not alone

My wife and I and in-laws also contacted Casey and Toomey. We also contacted our friends, family, and other acquaintances to do the same. Keep the pressure on and keep the faith. If enough people pressure them and others like them from each state, we will flush them out of their holes and force their support!

What's the procedure to override Reid?

Does anyone know procedurally what needs to happen specifically to thwart Harry Reid in his vow to keep this from even coming up for a vote?

“Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” —Thomas Jefferson

Discharge Petition

If enough Senators sign a discharge petition, Rand can bring the bill to the floor and force a vote.

This is rarely done as it is a slap in the face of leadership but Rand said he's gotten enough signatures for a discharge petition on his "End Pakistan Aid" bill that he can bypass Reid.
