On his bill to end aid to Pakistan

he said he got 16 Senators to sign a discharge petition.

Ohio .... Zero

Portman (R) & Brown (D)

Actually, I can see Brown signing on, but Portman will only sign on if it is politically necessary.

We need to make it politically necessary.

At least Rubio is on board.

That's a good sign, seeing as how he's a top pick for Romney's VP.

Perhaps an immediate campaign expressing the dissatisfaction of the American people against the Nay Representatives will whip the Senators into shape.

I'm certainly calling...

I'm certainly calling my local congresspeople to thank those lending their support and to chastise those who refused. Then onto my senators.

we're up to 23 now

we're up to 23 now

24, actually

23 cosponsors plus Senator Paul. Our required numbers will heavily depend on what type of vote S.202 will go up for. But we've got an uphill battle. Optimally, we'll have at least (1+)66 cosponsors though, for now, (1+)50 seems like a more reasonable target.

Only one of my Senators is and the other one is not running for

office again. Ted Cruz or David Dewhurst will be taking Kay Baily Hutchison's job. How can I persuade someone who has nothing to lose? I guess I will tell her that her legacy will go down as her being a crook working for the big bankers and not working for her constituents.

Hutchison voted

for a full audit in 2010. We should be able to get her to cosponsor.

Kay Baily Hutchison

Wow, tough one on Madam Hutchison. She got booed real bad at the Texas GOP convention when she started praising Mitt Romney. That's understandable, but then she just KEPT GOING ON about it! Like she didn't understand why they were booing her.

I wrote about that. Wish I had some video of it, though. ^_^

I would have never thought that McCain would be on our side with this.

Wasn't Sanders the Sponsor?

And DeMint was one of the co-sponsors and also a key figure bringing everyone on board?

McCain will probably

come up sick when there is a vote.

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

McCain will probably vote

McCain will probably vote where ever he sees the wind blowing, just for visibility, and just to get re-elected by what he feels is the active voters.

I already

contacted my senators Kelly Ayotte and Jeanne Shaheen telling then that they need to help pass this bill. If you are in NH please help me in convincing Ayotte and Shaheen.

It is better to look dumb and not be, than to look smart and not be.

They are all Republicans. Fiscal sanity has never been appealing to the Democrats..

Suppose 80 senators or some

Suppose 80 senators or some ridiculous number supported the bill, but harry ried did not...could he still block it? is there a way to over ride him?

and are all of these guys republicans?

no they're not

Senate protocol and...

It's up to Senate protocol. I don't know if they can bring the bill to vote without leadership support. We can make Harry Reid sweat though, by persuading some of his party's senators to cosponsor it. That, and keep bombarding his phone, fax, & email.

John McCain & Lindsey Graham

John McCain & Lindsey Graham both support it?!?! awesome!!!

like I trust these traitors. For all I know, they only support it now, with a plan to kill it later. Both Traitors.

Strange Omission

Hopefully Rand Paul will become a co-sponsor tomorrow!

Rand's the sponsor!

I thought it was

Ron's bill, you make it sound like it was Rand's bill.

S. 202

Is sponsored by Rand Paul. Ron's is HR 459 dude

His name is Edward Snowden

What is Capitalism?

It IS RAND's BILL in the senate

It IS RAND'S BILL in the senate. The Rand hostility on hear is just senseless.

only rand decided to endorse romney, any backlash was expected and should be. I for one cannot support anyone endorsing obamney. He might get a few brownie points from this but overall i am glad i do not live in kentucky and any colorado elected official that endorses romney will be voted against in colorado by me and my family. endorsing romney is like endorsing obama/bush 2012. the rand hostility is expected and should be. Personally i think it is great rand sponsored this bill but rand can stay in kentucky! I have no interest in rand 2016. only rand can blame himself for endorsing obamney! i careless if you vote this down. I guess he could flip flop!

Ron Paul 2016

First good thing i've seen

First good thing i've seen Boozman do. Glad he beat out Lincoln now. We might be able to get Pryor to come on over for the vote if we put enough pressure on him.
