PHOENIX -- Tea party supporters voting in a straw poll at a national summit favor conservative Texas Rep. Ron Paul and Georgia radio host Herman Cain for president in 2012.

Ron Paul won the online poll with 49% of the vote, and had the most votes overall of any of the candidates. He placed third in the in-house poll: Herman Cain, 22%, Tim Pawlenty, 16%, Ron Paul 15%.

Ron Paul will be speaking at the Tea Party Patriots Policy Summit at 2:00pm MT on Saturday February 26th in Phoenix. There will be a straw poll, which will garner BIG media attention. It is important that we give Dr. Paul another media boost with a strong showing in this poll.
The entire event, including Ron's speech, will be streamed live online. Admission is $10, and by signing up, you're eligible to vote in the poll. Dr. Paul will have support at the event, but every vote counts, and this is a way you can show your support without traveling to the event!

This was a fantastic speech - definitely worth watching again,
despite the video quality the sound is good. There are a couple of glitches where you miss a word, but overall the sound is excellent. Thank you so much for posting!! Love to hear the good doctor speak like this!!

Just a heads up on an observation I have made regarding the sudden support for Cain. The day before this "summit" our local talk radio (who was voted most influential man in the city, which is a joke) promoted Cain as the "real deal" and to "watch out for him" ... then the unelected leader of our local tea party group gave a link in support of Cain to have listeners click to donate to Cain. There is a lot of odd activity like this going on in the tea party movement. It has been said that the leader of Tea Party Patriots (the national organization that coordinates with over 3300 chapters of the invidual tea party chapters which hosted this event) Mark Meckler has openly stated that "there is no room for Ron Paul in the tea party movement." I suspect Cain is an early attempt by the establishment to test out what the people think of Cain. This shows a top down approach to the tea party movement in which there is a lot of lock step mentality and action between the GOP / Fox news and the "leaders" of the tea party movement, both nationally and locally.

Great speech!
After watching this one, my first thought was "he's gonna run for President again!" I remember in Minnesota 2008 for the Rally for the Republic festivities, there was a little rally in a park somewhere during the day where Ron Paul would be speaking. Bob Barr was there, too. For some reason, we couldn't make it there and I remember a long-time RP supporter saying, "It doesn't matter if we miss this one. If you heard one Ron Paul speech, you've heard them all."
This Tea Party speech, however, was a lot different. Not just the content, but the way he approached various subjects. I love how he really hammered away at the Federal Reserve, too.

This is....Totally off the subject, but, I wanted to ask this. I have been trying to log on to www.campaignforliberty.com all morning and cannot get on . I get a white page with the word Gateway and some number type of message.
I've had other folks try from various locations and they get the same thing. Anyone know what is up with this.

The Tea Party rally I went to
The Tea Party rally I went to was VERY pro troops and military involvement. They have not embraced Constitutional war policies, but they have some other things down pat. I was kicked out for mentioning that I did not like our national anthem and was told I was "in the wrong place", at that time. Their mission statement has some very great other things in it, though. They are watching our Congressmen.
I don't like our "pledge."
Why should I be pledging alliegance to a piece of cloth, & lying when I swear there's "liberty & justice for all?"
The pledge is a mindless piece of brainwashing.

Dr. Paul as usual was right on target. He immediately began attacking the Federal Reserve system which is our enemy.
The reason for the lack luster reaction was that this was not a hard core Ron Paul crowd that is well versed in the facts and well read. Most of us have read Dr. Paul's books. If you haven't why not? A tireless irate minority is what it is going to take to save this country. The masses will benefit if we succeed. It is our duty and obligation to succeed or at least carry the torch as others have done before us.

Dr. Paul only speaks the truth. The people will never elect Ron Paul president because they reject the truth and only want to hear false promises that everything is going to be fine. They have built their lives over the last thirty years on the false promises of free money, ever increasing property values and wealth. They reject the truth yet it is the truth that can set them free. Freedom is not what they seek. It is comfort, security and safety which they seek. None of which is promised to a free people.

Why did you push this event and why was it militarized?
The speakers were carefully selected to produce a war presentation before and after Dr. Paul spoke.
The votes and online poll were clearly manipulated.
The link above the stream did not even list half of the candidates for the pres. poll, but did list Cain and Pawlenty, but missed about 6 others, including Paul.
All the ones who were at the stream who clicked thinking to vote for Paul, were not given his name so many, Im sure voted for who WAS listed and Pawlenty and Cain were ones listed...Palin and Romney were not. That explains the higher votes for those two and not the front runners. I heard he summit had 1300 online viewers...If 30% of those who clicked the link above the stream- were given the chance to vote for Paul he would have won a much bigger win..MUCH BIGGER! I was only allowed to vote for Paul by going to the email they sent, however the link above the stream itself did not list his name and was what I described. Many would not take time, nor did they know an email to vote in the poll was forth coming.
The Tea Party Patriots are nothing of what the C4L stands for and other then Paul no one spoke to the police state erecting all around us or the federal Reserve. In fact this "Tea Party" allowed a Federal Reserve Banker to speak? And then win the poll?

Then, they allowed an IOWA pro war group on stage that actually was telling people to join them and help fund our soldiers. The group was called "Strong America Now" spoke just after Paul, and the guy was inviting Tea Party members to join them and give their time and money.... THATS WHAT THE TEA PARTY IS FOR!

People were clapping to this guy as he stole their base away from right under their noses! He wants 50k signatures in Iowa and only have 13k.
They need volunteers and actually said " I know you would never stop supplying our troops with what they need"....practically asking for more war right on stage in front of the so called Tea Party Patriots.

I wondered about the C4L myself.
When Ron Paul spoke, I thought the audience response was about a 4. There should have been standing ovations every few sentences. When the music began to interupt Ron, people should have yelled, "NO, let him finish!" All the RP'rs should have been on their feet stamping for him to come back.
I think the $10 was a ruse to just rake in the cash. They lied & NEVER said there would be two polls. With C4L offering $100 tickets for $20, that place should have been packed with us & we should have won both polls. What happened? Have we heard from anyone on here who's in C4L management?

MSM gets scary when they
MSM gets scary when they purposely fail to mention the winner(s) of the straw votes. This overt promotion and push of Governor Pawlenty is just a little too obvious in a concerted effort to distract from the real winner, Ron Paul and his wide margin of victory.
Pawlenty places fourth
In the Reuters article they have Pawlenty placing fourth which would make more sense as being acurate. Here is the stats according to Reuters, keep in mind they would have had to confirm this result before publishing it. In my opinion this is good news because alot more people read Reuters than some of these other RAGS there are posting bogus results.

Reuters has it Right
This shows the results were changed last min.
Well the thing that really smells fishy is this Reuters article that clearly has a different set of results. Reuters is pretty tech and I'm sure they would have confirmed these results before publishing them, I was reading other articles that stated they had trouble figuring out the results due to text message votes that were not confirmed, I think Reuters confirmed the original results but then the results were altered at the last min,in panic. In my opinion Reuters had already printed the original results before they heard about the change.I believe the Reuters article is the real deal and clearly shows yet another attempt to manipulate the results of the majority. Here is the article for those who havent seen it yet, remember Reuters does not print things they havent confirmed. Everyone should copy this article before it gets taken down. We should also show how good we are online by posting this article on message boards of sites that dont mention Ron Pauls win. Reuters is a respected media outlet so this article is a big deal in my opinion.
