Can you see the headline? Ron Paul movement falling apart.

I'd gladly pitch in $100 if, since it took off I'd heard anything about it or seen videos of it somewhere doing some good? Maybe I've just missed it?
We should be getting daily emails of its progress...

Like others have posted- it's more or less a symbolic statement. It was privately funded through donations by the people to, for lack of a better phrase, display a show of force: "Hey MSM- we mean business!"

Just because it lands or loses funding or whatever doesn't mean that much.

When everyone sees that despite the blimp not flying, there is still a massive fervent support by the people, it will become a non-issue. For crying out loud, we aren't losing Caesar's Eagle here. The blimp is a symbol and publicity move. I wouldn't make it out to be anymore than that.

Relax guys, it's alright. If we keep the blimp up, we do. If not, no biggie. We have a MASSIVE collective of creativity here- we'll find other ways to spread the message. The blimp is falling, not the sky.

Look, I hope the blimp stays in the air, but even if I hadnt already bled my last dollar to the campaign, and then borrowed more and gave them that, I still wouldnt donate to the blimp.

I think the team involved hasn't done that great a job in many regards, even though I support their goal.

1. The graphics on the blimp are too small to read, its disappointing.
2. They have refused to move the thing from the east coast, and continue to stay near the hangar.
3. NOTHING they have promised has come true when they said it was going to.
4. They do a horrible job of communicating.
5. Now they seem to have some legal problems that they arent telling anyone about. I have offered to help find them counsel, but they have not responded.
6. Clearly no one associated with this project has been involved in a large business managing long term customers. There are a few rules that make sense to follow 1. underpromise, overdeliver. 2. manage expectations. 3. perception is reality. They have demonstrated a lack of understanding of all 3 of these rules.

Its sad, but if the blimp goes down in flames, it will be the fault of those in charge, not of the community at large. We will just find another project to pour our efforts and money into.

I literally have $6.47 in my bank account right now, between the blimp and the TeapParty I am not going to be able to finanacially donate until after the holidays... I will continue my support in all the other ways......

The Blimp is just a small part of this movement, an airborne flag. If it can't stay up, so be it. What must rise up like the Phoenix is Freedom, the Constitution and personal liberty. If we can't get back our counrty because a blimp won't fly, then this movement is over. Folks, its the ideas and principles of this country that must fly on thier own merits.

Whether or not America is ready for a constitutional republic again is up in the air! If the majority wake up and embrace Dr. Paul's message, blimp or no blimp, then we get our country back. If they are more concerned with who wins the Super Bowl or makes the audition on American Idol, then we as a country do not deserve liberty.

If the market place of ideas is ready to embrace Dr. Paul, then we can win. If the market place for ideas does'nt buy what he is saying, then its tyranny. Plain and simple.

I pray America is waking up!

i wish negative commentary and people would quit dumping on those are otherwise. are you in or are you out?

The blimp is a comittment. Made by individuals but if it fails, it reflects poorly on all of us and leaves Trevor who has helped us so much, holding the bag. We all need to pitch in or the biased MSM will pounce!

Frankly I'm sick and tired of the small minority within the movement who throw a fit because their precious blimp isn't funded to their satisfaction.

I'm not criticizing Trevor, who is doing amazing work. Nor am I criticizing the many people who have determined that the blimp is worthwhile and are donating. But the creator of this post and a few other people pull this melodramatic nonsense constantly.

In case you missed it, the "movement" is doing just fine. Grassroots organizers like Trevor orchestrated the biggest fundraising day in our nation's history -- four days ago. Name one other candidate whose grassroots supporters are breaking fundraising records or putting anything close to a blimp (or TV ads, etc.) together? Failing to accomplish something extraordinary -- nay, unprecedented -- is not a collapse. It's not indicative of a movement that is "falling apart."

The only conceivable way in which a story could convey the angle that the "movement is falling apart" would be if nimrods like the creator of this thread declare it so.

You're making multiple threads on the same subject, unnecessarily creating a negative vibe for no reason, fearmongering, guilt-tripping, and (in my view) inappropriately asking for donations for a project that is secondary to the official campaign. The blimp started out as an interesting idea for "maxxed out" donors to contribute more to the effort. Now you're acting as a constant wet blanket who fraudulently bemoans that a "failure" to do things your way on a controversial initiative can legitimately be spun as an inherent failure of the movement.

just as it is. That will give the Old Media something to nibble on. They are getting a bit hungry with nothing to go after Dr Paul on, so why not start within the support groups with nice little headlines like this one. I can almost hear the neocons smacking their lips.

Okay the guy/gals tone was off they are/were stressed, deserve our grace and cash if we have any let to spare. ADD A LINK!!!! I will scrounge up a few bucks to donate (return bottles?) and locate the link but one right in the text would make donateing easier for those of us that are busy and have funds to spare!

I dont think if it stopped flying next week people would say the movement is falling apart.
