Christmas Endorsement

I assume that everybody has seen the Rudy Giuliani Christmas ad with St. Nick (Santa Claus).

Picture this, Ron Paul is standing up at a podium addressing a crowd of dedicated followers as he is speaking Santa Claus comes onto the stage. Shakes hands with Dr. Paul and St. Nick starts to speak into a microphone saying something like "I have visited and interviewed Rudy Giuliani and I have come to a conclusion that I will endorse Ron Paul as the presidential candidate. So whenever you see a picture of me(Santa Claus) or see me (Santa Claus) standing on a street corner, I want you to think Ron Paul." Santa Claus then waves to the crowd and slowly strolls off the stage.

Okay, this might be a little far out but what I'm thinking about is the earned media exposure. Would it be positive or negative?

You might be on to something...

what about playing on this 110-year-old quote from The Sun:

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus.

Santa can endorse Ron Paul, explaining how tax-free incomes enable Americans to keep the love, generosity, and devotion toward those in need alive, not just during the Christmas season, but all the year through.

Jesus is my Lord and my God, and Ron Paul, champion of all things freedom, including religion and the free exercise thereof, is my choice for president.

SANTA?!

Santa is a Left Winged Democrat. Only someone who is pro nanny state would use him in his political campaign ad.

He gives people "gifts" around the world that are made by hard working slave labor. He practices interventionalism by going around the world, entering peoples homes (hello 4th amendment?) and putting these gifts there FOR FREE! Nothing is free.

People think that these presents are "free" but someone has to pay for them. I mean, look what color he wears, he may as well have "Made in China" written on his belt buckle. And I wonder on the toy gun control policies he has.

Santa's endorsement of Giuliani is perfect, let's not mess with it :)

Lets not forget the

Lets not forget the naughty/nice list.... Talk about big-brother...

Except

Santa isn't real, so it wouldn't be a real endorsement.

how Santa might endorse Ron

Ron Paul is the only one who isn't trying to outsource Santa's job to Washington DC.

What is begun in anger, ends in shame.

How about ...

A whole boat full of Santas leaving country on their way to a lower paying country.

Or better yet, Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc.... all on their way out of an American harbor .... towards a country that has lower wages ...

LOL

That would be so funny!! I knew all this time Santa wanted to endorse ROn Paul!

Actually, a Santa-ad

Could potentially be VERY funny considering the fact that all other candidates are to one degree or another, pretend-Santas by being such porkers when it comes to spending...I continue to wish the official campaign's ad department would somehow try to harness the immense humor possibilities out there. So far, I've had no success, but I'll keep trying anyway.

Funny political videos go-viral. Boring ones don't. Paul Wellstone's shoestring campaign knew that, and they did effective ads that were hilarious. I wish the campaign would take some of this new money, track down that particular Democrat who made those ads, and hire him/her ASAP.
