Saul throws up his hands
The Michigan GOP site just posted a blog by Saul that he's throwing in the towl on his petition. In a last cowardly act, he did it heading into the weekend so it would be buried in the news cycle:

CNN's Martin Get's it right, "DEBATE PAUL!"
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/18/martin/index.html
Vote for FREEDOM!

This story was based on what a caller was told.
Check the migop.org and/or their blog - where the call for the petition is still there
Still awaiting official confirmation.
Also, Paul is polling better in NH:

He's #4 for the announced (#5 if you include the unannounced Fred Thompson), but he is above the 1% background noise.
It isn't even summer yet, so don't expect him to poll higher, but he would be very hard to ignore.
