"SchoolOfRon"

I have never had a website before, but I just registered several "SchoolOfRon" domain names. I was awakened with the thought of it a few days ago. I guess Jack Black's movie, School of Rock, was the motivation. Does anyone have any ideas for these websites? They could be used during the rest of the campaign and possibly for educational purposes thereafter. We need to educate people about the views of Ron Paul, no matter what happens at election time.

What Jack Black's character did for the students in School Of Rock, Ron Paul can do for Americans with regard to peace, prosperity, and freedom.

good idea.

I emailed campaign with this idea:

During every debate they cut off Dr. Paul when he is trying to answer the questions. He simply does not have enough time to properly answer some of the debate questions. The campaign staff should take notes during the debate, bookmark those occasions where Dr. Paul does not have enough time to properly answer and then post debate, record what Dr. Paul's full answer would have been had he been given enough time to answer. Dr. Paul could mention during the debate that if people wanted to hear a more full answer they could go to his campaign website and watch the video's corresponding to that question. The campaign website should have links to each debate.

I'm back online...vacation without Internet access is over.

SchoolOfRon.com

a week without the Internet is much worse than a week without "marital privileges."

Video Library with Ron answering questions.

It might be interesting to have a section of video responses to some of the more expansive questions and then have "professors" provide foundational information for the positions.

The Lincoln question on Meet the Press the other day surprised me and Ron's answer was nothing I had ever heard before. Upon reflection it sounded common sensical, but, at the same time, goes against everything we were taught in American History. It might be interesting to put together a section that starts with Ron's Answer in Video format and then brings in historians to provide the historical foundation for the answer.

It's almost like going back and unwriting the history of the winners to reflect a more balanced view.

post here.

I think a video library

is an excellent idea!

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

three ideas

first idea: I think one site I haven't seen yet would be a central bank for rebuttals of common lies that MSM uses to fool people with

All we have to do is start collecting the "smears" from various hit pieces and rectify them - one lie at a time - this could have a simple format:

source
attacking paragraph
rebuttal

We could all chip in with this effort. But someone would have to edit and sort the contribution so certain level of accuracy could be maintained

------------------------------------------

second idea: there is lots of sites like women4paul, farmers4paul, asians4paul etc - perhaps it would be nice to have a central repository of these sites - so we could easily find material for any group of people to read and learn about Paul from their perspective; perhaps this Metasite about RP already exists?

----------------------------------------

third idea (my favorite): we could have a site which would award weekly (or monthly) "Oscars" in various categories, such as

the meanest hit piece
the best MSM article
boldest grassroots effort
our favorite TV journalist
best blog article etc
worst blunder by other candidate (or even RP himself)

we could first collect candidates and every say Thursday we'd vote on them, the way Academy members vote on Oscars

on vacation

without Internet. At public library. I'll consider your ideas. Thanks for reading.

offline for

several days...back Saturday

SchoolOfRon.com

domain is active now...just received email confirmation. I registered it yesterday.

C'mon, people. Ideas or take the domain from me and take control.

I've got SchoolOfRon.net,

I've got SchoolOfRon.net, too.

SchoolOfRon.org

too

SchoolOfRon.info

is the last one thus far.

Must be Easy to understand

Should be idiot proof, like the Constitition or Bill of Rights for Dummies . A platform that creates an easy to understand venue of our basic rights.
Something that my 10 year old son and my 73 year old father can understand

School of Ron for Dummies

and School of Ron for advanced studies - two sections would be appropriate.

Good.

More comments, anyone?

Any reference site that seeks

to deliver the message of Dr. Paul, must also include a bibliography of supporting research and documentation and cover the entire range of the ideology. There are excellent references on Austrian Economics available from the Von Mises Institute. I am sure other sources would be available, perhaps there is a Taft library site. The "Federalist Papers" must be included and videos of Badnarik's classes on the Constitution. Allow for supporters to submit essays and articles.
Above all, it must be an educational site. For, in the final analysis, freedom and liberty can only be secured within any society if there is:
First - An aware and informed citizenry
Second - That is willing to risk life and limb in defense of that liberty and freedom.

My thoughts on what School of Ron should be...

What I think this should be is a website designed to educate the people who do not know about Ron Paul. The way I see this happening in a unique way is as follows:

Using Flash player (not youtube links and I'll explain why), embed some clips of Ron Paul discussing the major issues, hopefully no longer than 5 minutes. Each clip should focus on one issue. AFTER the clip has finished (this is why I suggest flash player), have it come up to an opinion poll and ask the viewer:

How they would rate their knowledge of Ron Paul
If they found this clip informative
If they thought positively or negatively of the clip

Ask to make a comment about what they thought, or any questions they have. [embed comment section]

This way you can do several things:

*You can get people to spend as little as 5 minutes of their time to become educated about Ron Paul on the issues that matter.

*You can get actual feedback from people that may not know about Ron Paul, not just us Paulites

*The fact that the poll section would be done in Flash player at the end of the clip forces people to sit through a short video before making comments. No more random spam (for the most part). People actually have to watch it to comment.

Then, you can have a section of your website for the comments each video is receiving if you'd like, but don't allow people to add comments without watching the videos first.

Just my thoughts on what you could do....

I removed the image

from photobucket, just in case.

Be careful with potential

Be careful with potential copyright infringement here...

I think of Flounder's comment in Animal House - "Oh boy, is this great!"

Outstanding idea!

Great domain name.

It is a great domain name.

I'm surprised nobody took it before me. Now, I need help with setting up the site or someone with the skills to take it off of my hands.
