Ron Paul in Iowa & NH This Week! This is Big!

Dear Liberty Activist,

Congress is out of session next week, and I plan to take full advantage!

I will be making two important trips, one to Iowa and one to New Hampshire. People are really paying attention, and I hope that if you are in the area, you will attend some of my public events.

On Wednesday, I will be traveling to Des Moines, Iowa to hold several key meetings and speak on the steps of the State Capitol to the Network of Iowa Christian Home Educators, a wonderful group representing homeschool families.

Support from the homeschool community was key to Mike Huckabee’s victory in the 2008 Iowa Caucuses, so this is an important speech.

There is no bigger supporter of homeschool education than I, and I am confident we can forge a great relationship with this group. Just last week, I introduced the Education Improvement Tax Cut Act, which would provide $5,000 tax credits to homeschool parents. I am looking forward to sharing my vision to protect Liberty in education and give parents freedom to escape government schools and raise their families as they see fit.

My speech will be at 12:00 pm CT on the steps of the Iowa Capitol. There will be a lot of press and a lot of attention, and every single supporter that can turn out will help me. Please consider attending if it fits your schedule.

I will also be traveling to New Hampshire on Thursday and Friday for more important meetings, plenty of press opportunities, and two public events.

The first event will be a speech and rally at the University of New Hampshire in Durham on Thursday, March 24th, co-hosted by Young Americans for Liberty and the UNH College Republicans. The event will begin at 3:30 pm at the Memorial Union Building right in the heart of campus.

Always remember that our strength lies in our numbers, and just by turning out and showing your enthusiasm for Liberty, you can send a powerful message. I very much hope to see you there!

I will also be speaking to the Dover City GOP at their annual dinner on Friday, March 25th, at 5:30 pm. This function will help support New Hampshire GOP Chairman Jack Kimball, a TEA Party leader who has so far really impressed me.

It would be great to turn out as many folks as possible, because, as we all know, money talks, and helping to make their event a financial success will send the Republican Party a powerful statement about the strength of our movement.

You can get more information on the event here.

March is shaping up to be a great month for our efforts. Of course, I have you and all the supporters of Liberty PAC to thank for making these trips possible. Your financial support means the world to me, and these trips are only the beginning of where your generous gifts will allow me to take our message.

To help keep our momentum going, please consider a gift of any size, up to the maximum legal contribution of $5,000. As I always say, our strength lies in our numbers, so contributions of $100, $50, $20.12, or even $10 make a real difference.

Please consider joining me as we fund Liberty PAC to lay the groundwork for our political action in the 2012 cycle. Together, we can reclaim our Liberty and restore our Constitution.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. Your support is critical in guiding my 2012 decision making and guaranteeing a successful political operation so we can elect the type of President who will take our country back from the statists. Please, click here to make a contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, or even $20.12 today.

I just cut out of work.

I'll be heading to Durham around 2:00. If anyone would like to meet up email me @ mac_hiney@mac.com

I'm so excited. This will be my first time seeing Dr. Paul speak live. I feel like a little kid about to visit Disney World for the first time. :)

I'm bringing my camera. I'll post pictures later.

I had the chance to get out

I had the chance to get out of work to see the UNH speech, but I chose to stay in work. He'll be back...luckily, I know someone going who'll probably tell me every detail.

Take The Message To Ron Paul

We have to start really taking the message to Ron Paul, that he must run in 2012 because our Country is in trouble, and there is no other person in the Presidential field who will alter our course.

The Country is ready to hear the Ron Paul message now, and he must run now, as there is no other substitute.

No one has his encyclopedia-like knowledge of all the CIA activities, the CFR, the history of Central Banking, our disgraceful U.S. Foreign Policy (over the course of 150 years), and can make the argument so powerfully about the foolishness our our Militarism, World Empire policies, and Monetary policies anywhere near as well as Ron Paul. He's the guy.

And it is not enough just to have some other "Libertarian" run here. The chances of winning would be slim to none.

Ron Paul is much more than just that. He is an educator, who enlightened masses of people back in 2007-2008 (including liberals, progressives, independents, etc.). The GOP managed somehow to suppress his "official" election result counts -- but he won nearly every GOP Straw Poll, and he won all the TV Debates. This demonstrates the huge potential that awaits Ron Paul, and he must not sit by on the sidelines.

He's the only guy who can stand there next to 5 people spouting off Neocon red meat while the Media fawns over them -- and shoot them all down.

No one else even comes close.

I don't know why Ron Paul isn't already out there setting up Campaign Headquarters all across Iowa and New Hampshire. This is his moment, and people already donated $700,000 dollars (and had he formally announced, that number would have been twice, or even three times that high).

Ron Paul can't sit on the sidelines. His powerless subcommitee chairmanship won't change a damn thing -- but his winning New Hampshire will electrify the Country, and create a whole new wave of support that will carry him to the White House, and bring about a dramatic makeover of our Government.

Ron Paul has to run, and there is no equivalent substitute.

I couldn't agree more...

perhaps it's just a matter of time, but I'm concerned about this talk of Rand running now. Not that his candidacy wouldn't be preferable to zero Paul's on the campaign trail. It's just that in trying to sound mainstream, which the liberals claim is "radical" regardless, Rand comes off as a little pro-corporate sounding for my liking. He's forced to pump-up the "free-market" status-quo.

This time now could be perfect for Dr. Paul as a consistent advocate of small government, and an irrefutable anti-war voice during a time where Obama has proven to the world that there has been ZERO actual change. I wish the Congressman had announced already, and there have been several times when I believed he was on the cusp: CPAC, the money bomb, and now these trips to Iowa. The time is now, baby!

Rand is giving the left lots of ammo

I hear my liberal friends say that they have admiration for Ron Paul on many issues but think Rand is a monster.

He's hitched his brand explicitly to the tea party. His budget cuts the dept of Education, which while I like, seems like a liberal pox. And he's recently compared the light bulb restriction to abortion choice -- which regardless of the validity of the comparison is a very uglyish and gosh way to voice it.

And the civil liberties/Maddow thing. And the media's (and his own) understating of his anti-war/imperialism position.

BUT if you read his new book, he comes off as very sensible and much more far North libertarian. I don't think he is a summary of the Tea Party's views, he's trying to inseminate their view with his. This is good.

Maybe this is helping Ron, and will help him if he runs,

in a reverse psychology sort of way... All of a sudden, Ron looks like the kindly "moderate" to these people in contrast with Rand.

Personally, I love Rand. But whatever works!

I heart Rand too

I find it odd that some find his view so dramatically different than his dad's. "tea party goes to washington" is perfectly aligned.

I'm going to NH!

I'll be going to the Dover republican speech, though, not UNH. I'm pretty excited, after reading about 1,000 pages of his writing and watching 150 hours of video, it will be neat to see him live.

will be there in New Hampshire. Cant wait

If Dr. Paul's staff could

If Dr. Paul's staff could just send out a two week warning before any event, I know I could get there and everyone else easier! I'd love to book a cheap flight a month in advance just for a city he will be speaking in. If they know anymore of his schedule at all they should post it for us to make arrangements? They must have some things planned ahead by a month!

e-mail notice

I received an e-mail bulletin about his NH visits about a month back. I cannot recall whether it was from C4L or another group, though.

I'll be seeing him in Dover at the Lincoln-Reagan dinner, anyone else?
