This free E-book can be downloaded @ losthorizons.com which is the companion site complete with tons of research, Q&A, Forums, and best of all Proof! copies of refunded (checks)monies form the Dept. of the Treasury as well as from the states that have their own form of the misapplied income tax. The IRS and the DOJ couldn't stop/silence this book after three losing court cases so they attacked Pete and his wife and fraudulently parleyed a conviction of Pete who is now serving a Federal sentence of 36 mos. for following the law as written and telling the truth to power!!!

Shattering the Myths - by David Champion.

It isn't cheap though. But it is a well researched, and accurate depiction of the tax code. There are other cheaper sources out there, but many books make some serious errors of legal interpretation. I wouldn't trust them to put my name to a paper with them as a source. (Pete Hendrickson, Larkin Rose and Irwin Schiff fall into this category. They may have some very correct info in their books, but there are some serious errors also.) Of course, Dave's book is not the original source if that is what you are looking for. Perhaps if you contact him with your purpose, and ask for a bibliography, he might give you those notes for a small fee, or free.

Also, if you want something more oriented to how the tax can be abolished or what it can be replaced with, look to mises.org.
