Dennis Kucinich: Libya Air Strikes Could Be 'Impeachable Offense'

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) has panned President Obama's decision to participate in missile attack on Libya, going so far as to question whether the strikes should be considered an "impeachable offense."

Difference between

Difference between Republicans and Democrats.

Who directly called for Bush's impeachment, even when he initiated things directly against the Constitution? Forget Republicans, how many Democrats didi t?

Super analogy!

But no doubt she's just reading a script. Somebody had obviously done a little research and given her a few talking points, though shallow and without merit, as your analogy proves.

I like Dennis Kucinich. We have to remember that not everyone who disagrees with us is the enemy. I think Kucinich is a good example of a man with principle who is honestly doing what he thinks is best for the country and its' people. This puts him much more in line with Ron Paul then many Republicans who might agree with us for the wrong reasons.

I'm not saying I agree with his social or fiscal policies, but I respect him. I believe that both Ron and Dennis see many of the same problems with our country but their prescriptions are different. Where Ron wants to end all of the unconstitutional nonsense that fiscally puts wall street and the big corporations on a golden pedestal, Kucinich wants to make sure a piece of that golden pedestal goes to everyone.

Just my opinion.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

I have been the biggest

I have been the biggest Kucinich hater on the daily paul. I disagree with everything he stands for except this one issue. He still is not VP material to run with Paul. Having said that I am glad to see him stand up on this.

Biden agrees with impeachment

Screw Kucinich

This is the guy who was flown up in Airforce One in a one-on-one meeting with Barak Obama on the eve of the National Health Care vote.

He called for Bush's impeachment, he might be calling for Obama's. I ask you DP'ers ... "What does he care. What does Obama care?" This is what Kucinich *does*. He calls for impeachment in full knowledge that Congress will not care and laugh at it. He gets to look so righteous to his supporters and in the end he's a shitheel.

If he were such a virtuous agent, he would have tape-recorded everything that was said on Airforce One between he and Obama, and released that to the nation. Keep in mind he was not going to vote for National Health Care until that very weird last minute meeting. Something is now compromised with him, who gives a damn whatever impeachment call he gives.

Unscrew Kucinich. I am sorry.

Unscrew Kucinich. I am sorry. BOTH of those Presidents deserve(d) impeachment for almost the same reasons. If we could have impeached Bush, all those treaties he signed (SPP, real ID, etc.) would have been NULL and VOID like they should have been. I think K is for REAL, as far as he goes. He is still a Democrat, but NOT dumb about our Constitution. TOLERANCE!

Let's take ONE issue at a time, OnwardUp.

When Obm-care thread comes along, yes, let's pounce on Kucinich, DeFazio and all those . . .

Ron Paul On Impeachment

Did you listen RP's ideas on impeachment of Obama and past presidents in DP Frontpage interview by Alan Colmes?

In the interview Colmes asks about RP's opinion about impeachment of Obama.

"Air is the very substance of our freedom, the substance of superhuman joy....aerial joy is freedom."--Gaston Bachelard--

Thank you

I am glad I read your comment and listened to that interview.
Terrific -- a true gem.
Send it to my 390 Twitter followers.
Actually I am going to listen to it for the second time.

Dennis called for Bush's

Dennis called for Bush's impeachment for his actions in Iraq, and is now starting to raise the same questions for Obama and his actions in Libya. Dennis is showing true principle here by speaking out against a Democratic president for the same reasoning!

Way to go DK!

I never thought I'd hear myself saying that, but he nailed it.

Kucinich will be on Hannity's radio show

at the top of the 4 pm (ET) hour.

I have little respect for Dennis...

I have little respect for Dennis, but at least he is raising the issue.

nobody is perfect -- we all make mistakes in our lives.
The key is to learn from the mistakes so not to repeat them endlessly.

I admire Dennis for his anti-war activist drive.
We need more people like him in the House people who respect the Contitution.

Kucinich today: “Who’s minding the store while we’re at war?”

Everyone is, just by coincidence, out of town.

>b>Capitol Hill falls silent as Libya war rages
By Stephen Dinan
8:59 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2011

“Think about this for a moment. In the last week they had time to garner 10 votes at the U.N., they had time to talk to the Arab League [and consult with] NATO, France and Britain. It seems the administration talked to everyone but the United States Congress, which has the constitutional authority to commit this country to war,” Mr. Kucinich said.
