bumpitybump, Were winning! Bless God America
Superb!
I thought it was superb. Good images, good voiceover, and good message. Bingo!
Excellent ad
it portrays the Patriot Ron Paul is. I saw the Hucksters Clucksters on there to stifle them all you need to mention is about the criminals the Huckster released and then killed more innocent victims.
This is the start of great quality ads, GREAT !!
"Freedom is a right that can never be won in war, only by each individual "
Pandering
A little pandering to the evangelicals though at the end with the reference to god?
If that's how RP feels, fine, but I do NOT want him pandering (or looking like he's pandering) like almost every other candidate in either party. Can't we be above pandering?
not pandering in the least
it emphasizes a basic concept of the message - that our rights are "endowed by their creator" and are therefore unalienable. This, as opposed to the concept that we only have privileges that are extended by the state and therefore revocable by the state.
Disagree
"God Given Rights" works just fine. You have to be pretty thin-skinned to consider it a pander at all. For one thing, it is not a "Christian" statement as it encompasses most religions including Deists. I am not particularly religious (although I have my spiritual side) and I believe strongly in natural rights and so the ad speaks to me too!
Mentioning God is not pandering
Freedom is given by God. This is a fact. Our founding documents mention this as evident to all. There is no point in restoring the Constitution if we attempt to get rid of the foundation it was based upon.
Ron Paul does not feel this way, he speaks the truth that all know. This is not pandering at all.
Mentioning God with WHAT MOTIVE???
That is the question. Dr Paul does so in a matter of fact and often historical.... Huck and the others pull God out as a punchline or worse.
Check the motives and the mission.
GOD BLESS YOU and MERRY CHRISTMAS... and I am not running for a thing. Well, that's not entirely true... I AM A DELEGATE!! WWHHOOOHHHOOOO!!! GO RON PAUL.

Thank God!
They've finally smartened up and produced a commercial that appeals on an emotional level. Maybe all the criticizing helped. As long as they make this type of commercial we can see a decent rise in the polls. The other commercials have been a waste of resources.
Emotional yes, but
You are correct that this was the first TV ad with true emotional overtones. At the same time, Ron's new "thinker" pose is a great hook. To those new to him it makes him look considered and prudent. For those of us who go way back with him, it really makes him look like a "Founding Father 2.0"!
Finally a great ad!
see what millions of $ can do... lol

Excellent ad; the comments are attacking
Looks like in the comments section they are really going after us. I think we are about to loose the internet. We will probably see a lot more attacks from yesterday onward. We may be drowned out, but it may be too late for that.
Congrats
on a fine ad. It's regal polish is deserving of our regal candidate - JP

You might want to use a different word than "regal". We don't take kindly to kings here. ;-)

Awesome!
Awesome!
Awesome
This i an incredible ad for once. The only thing I wish they would take out......is the wasted sentence at the end. "I am Ron Paul and I approve this message." Why the heck does every ad say this. It is lame.....
Just because every other candidate wastes the last line on this doesn't mean we need it.

Um...
Um, I'm pretty sure that's because it's required by campaign law.
Ad Name
While the "Defender of Freedom" name is great, I prefer to think of this ad as
"New Hope for the Ron Paul Campaign!"
A brilliant breakthrough ad for Iowa! Our contributions are on display!
Well done!
Let's hope that they can match that quality with their national ads.
