If you are in an early state, do not send the campaign any more money use it for local media

I live in TN and tomorrow I'll get the rates for local radio and newspapers ads and ask the local meetup groups to help me buy them or I'll buy them myself.

It's time to completely decentrlized and go hand to hand with local media.

Some things to consider!

1. The official campaign has more money than they planned to spend this quarter, way more!!

2. I have yet to see one good advertising effort from the official campaign! Their greatest effort is recruiting the Iowa campaign manager. The next claim to fame is that they are "official".

3. There are 7-8 grassroot efforts which are doing great work in getting the message out there. They have proven their worth, their resolve and their honesty. The banners are on this website.

4. These grassroot efforts are struggling for money!

5. In total, all of them do not need more than $500,000!

6. Please let's have a 'grassroot feed' day or something. This will be a shot in the arm of all these patriots. And, by the way it also will be 'different' and will get the media attention. I wish I could make a website!!!

And please, consider getting away from the word "bomb".

I agree 100% spend locally in NV and SC then Feb. 5th primaries

buy ads baby!

Iowa and NH are saturated now we need local action in NV and SC

Bump for DECENTRALIZATION!!!!

Go LOCAL!!!! Buy ads on radio, TV, newspaper, websites, entertainment guides, billboards, etc. Support canvassers. Hire people to pass out literature, or DO IT YOURSELF. Buy DVD's and pass them out. Support the letter writing campaigns for the eary states. Send money for the commercials already in circulation.

We, the grassroots, ARE THE CAMPAIGN, and have been all the way along. Money bomb ourselves, and build the base. Time to go national....but through LOCAL means.

"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge

You have to be kidding?

In NH if we have any more 'ads' we will drown.
According to this AP story, Fergus Cullen, head of the NH GOP, states just what I have been saying that apparently some of you don't believe...Ron Paul has sent out the most mailers, had the most phone calls and the most radio ads... he's got ample TV ads, I just saw one!

Hey Jane...

If this is the case (and yes, I heard that as well), why keep insisting on more money NOW for "impact" in the early primaries? I agree that momentum in the traditional "I placed well in NH and Iowa" is helpful, but all delegates are not awarded until the end of JUNE. we ought to be there until the end, don't you think?

"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge

The idea is..

...to do what is needed. Before the campaign got rolling I jumped in and was the GOP liaison and did the summer tabling events. Once that was over it was time for canvassing but by that time, they had the volunteers to put in place and already had the money for the ads and mailers and phone calls. So the campaign pretty much takes good care of that stuff.

There's even a secret band of elves that go out every time I send an email telling of a place they could 'sign plant' for Ron...case in point, the recent P&E. (I've been sick or I'd be out there too)

The money does not have to be spent in NH, it can be given to be spent in 20 other states where this needs to happen. NH is small and 3 of us basically covered all 10 counties, but, as I said, NH is SMALL!

I would like to see that nice round number, $20M, hit for the quarter...and that means our NYE moneybomb....

I will get others to donate, I can't, I'm long maxed out.

PS - I can fully understand why people think that NH has no campaign. The way they write about it in the media, as if Ron has no 'infrastructure' or staffers, when there is a huge campaign organization here! There is always something going on. And no Fergus has it wrong -- a lot of us GOPers are voting for Ron, more than he thinks!

Move into other states and concentrate locally do NV and SC then

Feb. 5th states

My first assumption? Troll.

Not saying you are, just from the heading. "Do not send the campaign money." Yeah, right, that's good advice. Sheesh.

I'm glad you spent few more seconds looking at the *intent* of the poster, kudos. The troll word is thrown around these forums so often it loses it's meaning.

I might have worded it differently, but I understand what the poster is saying.. fund local projects to make a direct impact. Personally, I'd never recommend NOT sending money to the official campaign, but would rather encourage people to get creative.. find ways to support Ron Paul the best way they see fit.

Cheers.

As with most centralized government, RP headquarters is poor

at meeting local needs for action. Not only that, but the quality of their output even on high level issues such as production of high quality media for televising and distribution appears very crippled.

So, although they appear to be doing a bang up job in scheduling Dr. Paul and issuing press releases, their ability to orchestrate strategy for the nation as a whole is not ready for prime time. And time, unfortunately, is running out.

I am strongly opposed to any more "money bombs" to the central government of the campaign until said government gives a great accounting of what they are doing with the money to date and why, in particular, they haven't yet been able to produce a high quality TV spot - much less the half hour infomercial this campaign could really use.

Don't stop donating - but think global act local. Donate directly in time or money to those local operations which have the need, have the best odds of paying off, and have the history to lend credibility.

IN PARTICULAR I think operationnh and the Jeremiah Black PAC is dying on the vine when it should be - and needs to be - knee deep in resources.

RP does not want it to be centralized the "money bombs" got the

attention nationally now we need to go local in early sates

I completely agree with the decentralization process

I believe when Ron Paul's top tier status can no longer be convincingly downplayed then the attacks will be even more pervasive in MSM and damaging. It will be up to local groups (working independently of each other) to keep moving forward no matter what. The raid of the Liberty Dollar was a prime example and also what happened at the peaceful New Orleans protest is another recent example.

RP wants decentralization of the money.

Just put slim jims in two of

Just put slim jims in two of the local small town papers (about 9000 circulation) cost about 500 FRNs. Put up a billboard on busy highway 411 500 FRNs / month. I'll be at the local flea market with DVDs and slim jims etc. 44 FRNs / weekend. See LOTS of RP bumperstickers and yard signs. Virtually nothing from any other campaign. Lets keep it up, we are going to win Tennessee.

Way to go! You are TOO cool.

Well, not really too cool...but plenty! :-)

You know, before this campaign I felt like an alien hiding out in my own country. Now I feel, increasingly, that I am part of a wonderful, powerful, caring community of the like minded.

The things you and others are doing matter in more ways than any can say. I just want you to know that reading about what you are doing in TN has given me goosebumps all the way over here in CA.

That is a good idea but I want to also advertise the local

meetup groups so they get to know the local people. The ad will list the names of those who support Dr. Paul.
