Rand Paul to 'vocally oppose' the President's handling of Libya when he returns next week

"Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, a leading GOP freshman and founder of the Tea Party Caucus, tells National Review Online that he will vocally oppose President Obama’s handling of the Libyan conflict once Congress returns next week.

Paul is alarmed at how Obama and his allies have rolled out their war plan. “For a week, this administration indicated that they were not going to do a no-fly zone. Then, when Congress is out of session, all of sudden the war begins,” he says. “We got a note saying, ‘Oh, by the way, we are at war now.’ Nobody really asked Congress to have any participation in the decision-making. That is not what our Founding Fathers intended.”

You go, Rand!

You go, Rand!

But by the time congress gets back, the whole thing may have unraveled already.

Obama is a tool and hasn't the slightest authority to stand on.

I hope he goes on the floor of the Senate and says:

"Are you our military dictator now, Mr. President? Are we supposed to stand idly by while you wage war without out consent in defiance of the Constitution?"

If there is any silver lining

If there is any silver lining to this tragedy, it is that a good portion of the left and the right are questioning this war, legality of war and its processes, and the legitimacy and cost/benefits of interference in other nations. Perhaps this renewed interest will foster a larger movement to withdraw from all the wars. That is what I am hoping for.

Also, I hope that it will bring the UN's evil agendas to the public consciousness and we can get away from them once and for all.

So the UN s now our Congress?

Then no more UN.

Sounds good to me!
