http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekO7hUhDYQY

the U.S. Coast guard is reporting a NEW oil slick in the gulf of mexico 100 miles long and 12 miles wide and rapidly expanding. Also reports of workers laying NEW BOOM around the beaches of Louisiana!!! It is being reported that the FRESH slick is originating 20 miles from the Deepwater Horizon rig that blew up last year

who knows???

I think i am going to ask the magic 8 ball if its true..... it would probably be more accurate than anything being reported on the "news" lol! seriously!

I know i seen many different videos last year after the Deepwater Horizon incident that in my mind was undeniable evidence of oil seeping out of cracks in the sea bed. Maybe with all the earthquake activity lately, one opened up a crack releasing a large amount of oil. Makes as much sense to me as anything else.

The earthquake activity world wide is insane.... thats a whole other topic.

I guess time will tell.... thank you all for sharing your thoughts!

Coast Guard concluded it's not oil,

but dead zone sludge, or a mixture of river pollutants and algae. This was on a radio news report I heard this morning from the area.

fireant, They seem to have changed. Yesterday is was oil!

This subject was also on C-t-C AM yesterday and Kelly Sweeny also said that it was "new" oil, NOT from the bottom. This stuff gets stranger and stranger. Ergo, somebody is lying.

Oil Washing Up on Shores Came From Gulf
* MARCH 22, 2011, 11:41 P.M. ET

By RYAN DEZEMBER And JEFFREY BALL

MORGAN CITY, La.—The oil that has washed onto nearby beaches in recent days is Louisiana sweet crude, which rules out refineries or tankers carrying foreign oil as culprits but leaves the spill's precise origins very much a mystery, U.S. officials said Tuesday.

"This is definitely crude from the Gulf of Mexico," said Capt. Jonathan Burton, who is based here and heads the U.S. Coast Guard's response to the spill.

The crude began washing up on stretches of Louisiana's shoreline late Saturday and continued to foul beaches through Monday, including on Elmer's Island, a state wildlife refuge. The Coast Guard said that crude has accumulated on stretches amounting to about a half-mile. The locations of those landings dot about 30 miles of coastline in an area that was among the hardest hit during the spill unleashed by the explosion last year of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, which was drilling a deep-water oil and gas well for BP PLC.

Mr. Burton told a press conference the oil appears to have hit the water fairly recently and there is "nothing to suggest" the oil came from BP's spill last year.

I think there's more than one incident occuring,

which could account for conflicting reports. Here's more:

That that means that there are two spills going on.

These damn coincidences are getting even more troubling.

Thanks for that clarification. Ugh! Now, two.

Or from the same enormous

Or from the same enormous earth crust disruption caused by the first. Could have easily hit a lava pool and created fissures in the crust forcing oil and gas up to the surface. This is what Alex Jones was suspecting. Or possibly the oil resurfacing after the corexit has done all it could to keep it below the surface.

there are no lava pools

in the Gulf of Mexico. If you go to AJ for your geological info you get what you deserve.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

I never said I know for sure.

I never said I know for sure. But 50,000 feet down, maybe even more. Your bound to hit lava eventually. Where's you geological info come from?

Jersey...

I have a MS in Geology and over the last 25 years have worked on hundreds of wells in the GoM, including working on rigs drilling the deepest wells ever drilled in the world, and including work on the Deepwater Horizon.

Obviously, if you could possibly drill deep enough into the earth you'd eventually hit molten rock, but that is not even remotely possible in the GoM.

My point: don't listen to Alex Jones regarding this subject. He is more interested in ratings and fear mongering than solid scientific findings.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

I'm not doubting any

I'm not doubting any credentials but there obviously has to be a map of some kind that shows depths where magma is under the crust. I don't know how the GoM is no subject to the same possibilities as the rest if the globe tho.

Magma is shallowest...

at active subduction zones and spreading centers, but even still I think that is in the order of roughly 50 miles. It's much deeper in the GoM because there is no active plate movement there, and an extreme amount of sediment piling up from the rivers dumping in continental sediment.

Main point here, magma had absolutely nothing to do with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. I am more sure of that than I am that Ron Paul is a good guy... and that's pretty darn sure.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Well that last part we

Well that last part we definitely both agree on :) Thanks for the info. Going to see what else I can find out.

I'm assuming it's still possible that it's the oil resurfacing that was trapped on the ocean floor tho.

oil resurfacing

I would *think* that the oil from the Horizon that was supposedly sitting on the bottom would look very different. Didn't they say that the oil on the beach was fresh crude?

Also keep in mind that they can 'fingerprint' oil. No two reservoirs have the same fingerprint, so they would be able to tell if it was Macondo oil.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

That's a good question. Do

That's a good question. Do they really know if it's "fresh" or do they just mean freshly washed on shore? None of us really seem to know the affect millions of gallons of corexit can have on such amounts of oil. We do know there was and prob still is huge plumes below the surface.

Strange

This is very strange because all main stream media has all but ignored this. I found one article on fox news:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/03/20/coast-guard-investigati...

And I know they mentioned it on fox for a brief moment. I think it was that morning. But no other site seems to have anything about this. Hard to get information.
