Tie a perriwinkle ribbon round the old oak tree.

"Supporting our troops" is becoming more complicated.

Now that the U.N. can declare war for us and use U.S. armed forces wherever and whenever they like, we need to update the old "tie a yellow ribbon" thing. Supporting our troops with only a single color is sooo 2003.

We can keep the yellow ribbons for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. But how about periwinkle for Libya? We could use red for Iran, pink for North Korea, blue for when we go back to Somalia, and green for Uzbekistan (or is it Kazakhstan? I always get those two mixed up).

We should reserve orange for Georgia (the one over near Russia. When the U.N. decides to invade OUR Georgia I hope they will at least have the good taste to use Chinese troops.)

What do you all think?
