The timing of the Atlas opening is astounding!

The economy is bringing the government to the brink of a shut down the very weekend before the opening?!! What a build up, what drama; the producers could not have planned it better.

Prepare everybody, this will be THE most controversial movie -- it will be attacked, Rand and her ideas will be vilified, and yet as always some percentage of people will see the truth and be newly inspired.

I hope it catches the imaginations of the young especially, since they have the most to gain from a rebirth of liberty and an awakened understanding of the forces that have endangered our republic and its people.

Timing is impeccable.

Yes, the timing is impeccable. It could not be more appropriate.

Atlas is STILL not coming to the Peoples State of St Louis. I might have to drive to the People's State of Illinois to see it.

People's State?

Is that like St.Louisstan, or Illinoisstan? Or perhaps the People's Republic of... ???

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. ~Thomas Paine

I couldn't help it.

Inspired by Atlas Shrugged.

Been waiting my whole life for this movie only to find out it will not be shown in Michigan.

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

I find it interesting that some states are not playing it.

I wonder if there are political/ideology reasons for this.

I was happy to see it is in several Seattle area locations.

I plan on seeing it at least twice - if only to support the effort.

from what I understand...

this is an independent production, and they are distributing the film on their own. So, instead of having a nationwide contract for distribution from a major studio, the producers are booking showings on a theater by theater basis.

I don't think it has any political reasons behind it.

If the film does well opening weekend, other theaters will pick it up.

Just started reading the book

Just started reading the book yesterday. I had always meant to read it and I am already riveted at page 66.
