Harry Reid: Taxation Is Voluntary.

This is a prime example of the mental illness that pervades Washington D.C.. How can we have allowed ourselves to be governed by such people? Why are we putting up with this?
Next time you go to a party meeting to vet a politician, ask them the hard questions and DEMAND an answer. Is taxation theft? Do I need a permit to petition the government? Is is lawful to conduct a search on my person without cause or my consent?

This is classic Orwelian double-speak.

Only a sociopath can look you in the face and try to legitimize this ridiculous line of thinking.

Reid is no idiot. He's just an enemy of freedom and the people.

Taxation is Voluntary!

That is true when it comes to the income tax and social security. There are several ways to live without involving yourself in either one. First, run your own private trade using only credit or coin or barter. Second, use federal reserve notes to trade with The U.S. Merchants but don't claim to be a taxpayer, just use your social security trust as a transmitting utility. Third, set up an IMF account and trade only in your own credit with The United States but not within The United States.
This is why no where in the IRS tax code does it say you are a taxpayer, because you are not.

is the way it is supposed to be but fact of the matter is you are forced. Think otherwise then I suggest you speak to those who had everything stolen from them or are now in jail.

True, Because Most People Never Read The Tax Code!

If you read the tax code you will discover that it doesn't apply to you! The system is entirely fair on paper. What they count on is the fact that most people can't or won't read! It turns out that almost every "person" in jail volunteered themselves into that as well.

Most people can't even define income. If you can't define "income" or "taxpayer". If you can't define those two terms then how do you even know if you have any income or that you are or aren't a taxpayer?

When you fill out a tax return for your all caps named Trust you do several bad things. One you create joinder, meaning you join yourself to their artificial person and give it a body and voice.
Two You determine that you are a taxpayer, thereby testifying against yourself. They can't prove you are a taxpayer because you are not legally so only you can volunteer the idea that you are!
Inception, totally brilliant. They merely suggest you might want to be a taxpayer and so you believe you are!
Three you wave your right to remain silent. So the second you fill out a tax return you have mistakenly joined yourself to their artificial person, testified against yourself and waved your right to remain silent. After that you can't go into their court and argue you are not the artificial person, you are not a taxpayer, they have no proof, they have no jurisdiction, because you already foolishly gave them all that. The people in jail almost all filled out a tax return and then tried to argue that they are not a taxpayer, that is what landed them there.
If you are not their artificial person then you are not required to file anything. If you are not a taxpayer the IRS tax code specifically states "regulations governing taxpayers do not apply to non taxpayers". Who determines whether or not you are a taxpayer? You do in every case.
The courts are prohibited by Congressional statute to hear any question of tax jurisdiction.
So you can argue the tax jurisdiction question for 28 days in district court and the judge just collors in his coloring book until you finish. Then he looks at three things: who showed up in court when their artificial person was summoned (you mistakenly did), two, did you sign a tax return, three, is the tax owed by the artificial person. If the answer is yes on all three and you are standing there in the place if the artificial person then they take you to jail in it's place! Oops!
Sometimes the judges get tired of all the whining and ask questions out of the blue like "Who are you?" to see if the guy wakes up and realizes he is not the defendant in the case, the artificial person is.
I have never seen one case where the guy who ended up in jail did not in fact testify against himself and create joinder between himself and their artificial person.

The Oracle

Somewhat true

But by in large not the case, even the educated with a solid case more often then not find themselves in jail or loosing everything. That is what happens when the crooks at large outright own the majority or courts and judges and the vast majority of jury's do not even have a clue what jury nullification is.

If it were as simple as just law then we wouldn't be where we are now as a number of ironclad cases would have thrown most of the crooks away. Ironclad in the case of the people defending themselves against the thieves at large does not mean a win it just means the thieves have to spend a little extra on a judge or replacing a jury that has a few educated members.

Bottom line, they make and control the law it does not apply to them or us if it negatively effects them.

I dont know of ANY one with a

I dont know of ANY one with a "solid case" that lost. I love Irwin Schiff for what he does, and Pete Hendrickson, and Larken Rose, and all the others...but all of them missed a HUGE component of Income taxation.

If you are a "citizen of the United States" you are to be "treated as if you reside in the district of Columbia". In D.C. Direct taxes are completely legal.

The problem that Americans have, is that they fail to realize that "citizenship of the united states" is a privilege...only State Citizen ship is a right.

    Status of citizenship of United States is privilege, and Congress is free to attach any preconditions to its attainment that it deems fit and proper. In re Thanner, D.C.Colo.1966, 253 F.Supp. 283. See, also, Boyd v. Nebraska, Neb.1892, 12 S.Ct. 375, 143 U.S. 162, 36 L.Ed. 103; Application of Bernasconi, D.C.Cal.1953, 113 F.Supp. 71; In re Martinez, D.C.Pa.1947, 73 F.Supp. 101; U.S. v. Morelli, D.C.Cal.1943, 55 F.Supp. 181; In re De Mayo, D.C.Mo.1938, 26 F.Supp. 696; State v. Boyd, 1892, 51 N.W. 602, 31 Neb. 682.

This is what the 14th Amendment did. It was established so that the newly freed slaves could be considered a "type of" citizen, distinctly different than a Constitutional Citizen. The 14th Amendment citizen uses a lower case "c", and has civil rights granted by government...whereas a natural born Constitutional Citizen has an upper case "C" and has human rights.

As for state Citizens, taxation is voluntary, because filling out a w-2, w-4, etc. is a "gift tax" form, wherein the person volunteers to pay a percentage of his earnings to the Federal Government.

What a moron

and the people of this country are idiots to elect a moron.

Jan Hefeld is great. Look for his other

videos, the one with Nancy Pelosi is priceless, especially the last couple of minutes when she reveals all you ever need to know about the political mindset.

Frig'n lawyers!

It's all word games with these jerks.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

The only way the term "voluntary taxation" comes close to making sense is if you put it into terms of the social contract.

If you don't agree with the laws of your society, you move to another society. To remain in a society is an implicit agreement to follow its laws, including taxation. This would mean by living in a society you implicitly "volunteer" to pay taxes. The premises of the social contract argument are pretty easily dissected, though it sounds right the first time you look through it.

I do not think Harry Reid is intelligent enough to be referring to the philosophy of a social contract though, and even if he is, he's still wrong.

I think those who believe that taxation isn't forceful would also point to democracy and the fact that we are allowed to vote, and presumably, vote to not have taxes if we didn't want them, so the fact that we vote for our leadership is consent to tax.

So is your prison sentence...

...if you decide not to 'volunteer' to pay your taxes.

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

If these lawmakers are insane or incompetent, then what does

that say for the voting electorate? I always tell the people I work with that voted for Barack Obama and now complain about him, I say listen up friend, he is the change you voted for. Live with it or go organize a million man march on Washington.

Just like Nixon's head in Futurama:

"My fellow Earthicans, we enjoy so much freedom, it's almost sickening. We're free to choose which hand our sex-monitoring chip is implanted in. And if we don't want to pay our taxes, why, we're free to spend a weekend with the Pain Monster!"

OMG! It's like talking to an idiot. Reid is insisting on a non-description for American taxation. There is NO SUCH THING as voluntary taxation. Is Reid that obtuse that he fails to understand the question? His answer is rubbish.

Exactly! The term or

The term or "phraseology", 'Voluntary Taxation', is an oxymoron.
