We thought Taibbi did a fairly good job, but he won't connect the dots and draw the logical conclusion that this is a corrupt racket not only involving Wall Street and the various lowlifes there, but also the other two legs of the triangle: the Fed and the US Treasury. It's a three way, circular racket and the tab is paid by the US taxpayer or by foreign borrowing to finance the US government, all to the benefit of the players in the racket.
The funny thing is, the Fed extends a funnymoney loan like this for a nonproductive result, and they will call it an increase in the GDP. All they're doing is putting more funnymoney in circulation. No value added.
If you don't understand the implications of QE, which is the Fed buying increasingly less valuable Treasury bonds with funnymoney, please check it out. It amounts to theft on the taxpayer and foreign bond holder to a much much greater extent.
