Something Groovy for the R3VO_|UTION | Grooveshark

Grooveshark, have you heard of it? I have a habit of avoiding things that my friends like--I suppose I can be a technology snob. There were a few times, however, when I was at a party and took over building the music list on the site. I finally broke down and really checked out the site today. It's amazing. UPDATE:
Here's my playlist of Essential American Music:

I'll quote Wikipedia:

"Grooveshark is an internationally available online music search engine, music streaming service and music recommendation web software application, allowing users to search for, stream, and upload music free of charge that can be played immediately or added to a playlist..."

Grooveshark streams 50 to 60 million songs per month, to more than 5,000,000 users.

So, what does this have to do with the R3VO_|UTION? Well, first off, you can find an audio book from Dr. Paul. However, this site might prove to be a great place to host various audio that could be useful for our movement. If you have training related to grassroots canvassing and campaign work, this might prove to be an easy and popular way to share the information. I'm just getting started with it, myself, but I see tons of potential.

Enjoy it while you can Grooveshark may be gone soon

There was a recent court case against Grooveshark that they might not survive - although they could get through this legal storm. I love this site in all of its clunky glory - it has very few, if any, ads.

Michael thanked me for introducing him to the site on another post so I thought I would give an update.

Awesome

Thanks Aaron. I'm taking in some of that Dylan now - Live at Budokan. I've never heard that album.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. - Alan Watts

Good call! I've used it as my radio for 6 months now and love it. The library is deeeeep. You can search for all sorts of independent artists and youtube sensations as well as the famous stuff.

But your point about using it as a way to spread our information is a great idea! Its a powerful social network and more folks should check it out.

I'm really slow! But I just made my first playlist!

And I don't mean to be doing an ad for the site lol!
(I hate it when people write, "lol!")
