I called into a talk radio show and read my favorite passage from Atlas Shrugged...

VERY powerful quote from Ayn Rand that really made me think. We live in a society of government indoctrination and those who do not conform to group think are almost always marginalized. Not every individualist obtains the knowledge, power, and ability of John Galt - who DID realize his potential but kept it hidden from the world. How many have "shrugged" and given up on the world - refusing to EVER realize their potential in a decadent society? How many decided to close their minds after confronting the barbarism of government schools and parents who push them onto a conveyor belt to college without encouragement to look into other options or possibilities? What has society lost from men who never allowed their minds to bloom in fields of contaminated soil?

OMG
The John Galt speech. I think it was 23 pages long. I actually skipped the whole thing when I was reading the book and went back to it later.
Someone answer a question who's seen the movie...I haven't seen it yet. Do they do the scene where Dagny trades the bracelet with Lillian? It's my favorite passage.
What do you think about the war on drugs?
How about Operation Wall Street?
Shout it today!

Good job!
I had forgotten how powerful that passage was as it's been about 20 years since I've read it.
And it sounds like that talk show host is quite an intelligent man.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Yes, he's an excellent
Yes, he's an excellent libertarian host who certainly knows his stuff. Does a weekly show Sundays on a local Fox radio station and the archives are online: http://bobzadek.com/
On RT the other day and now
On RT the other day and now some radio station. You're becoming a media regular! The more people you help to 'wake up' the better. Keep up the good work spreading the message of liberty!

Thanks! I've been on-and-off
Thanks! I've been on-and-off considering starting my own local public access tv show - then maybe I could start doing my own interviews - doing one with Ron Paul would be awesome and I could ask questions most hosts would never think to ask (and find guests most hosts would never think to look for).
Yes, DO that!
