Hey... M. Nystrom... Why is Trump's Prez Banner at the top of this page.

I mean, really... really? Other members have already remarked on this in other topics. And seriously I thought you would have dealt with this by now.

Look, even if Ron does not run, that decision is not made yet. Why are you running Donald Trump's banner at the top of this page, in all seriousness? I'm sure it pays a lot of money, but THAT much money though???

Look at Trump's comment on Ron Paul that he gave at CPAC. He came out and identified himself as an enemy to Ron. I really thought the whole Trump Banner issue would have been solved before now, but it has not.

I don't see any ad there at all.

Actually a few ads are always missing. Kaspersky rocks. It blocks all that crap. Best firewall, anti-v program I have ever used. Nothing gets past it, and it doesn't slow your computer down and use up half your hard drive and three quarters of your RAM like Norton and McAffee.

It also doesn't hold your hand and produce these kind of idiotic pop ups:

Warning: A program called Outlook Express is attempting to access the internet, this is very risky. You might receive an email.

Allow or Block?

Me: Umm.. Allow....

Norton: Are you sure you want to allow this program?

Me: Umm, yes.

Norton: Are you really really really sure?

Me: YES!!! Damnit!

Norton: Positively sure?

Me: *uninstalls Norton*

You know mike,

I used to believe in you.

What happened?

What do you mean?

That I'm a little more cranky?

I'm sorry mike,

maybe its just me. You do seem a bit cranky, as am I.

We face a multitude of threats, from those who would deny us truth.

I got angry at you, because, you didn't directly respond to what the poster said.

Why is donald trump ad at the top of the page?

Well the reason is that michael allowed an advertiser to place a banner with changing messages.

Why did Michael do this? Well to help pay the costs of running the site of course.

Why would Michael need to do this?

Well because the true blue american patriots using this site are not helping Michael financially.

The majority on this site have taken Michael Nystrom for granted. Show him the money!

or, Michael is a greedy "capitalist" like scrooge mcduck.

and he is exploiting the masses, [us] solely to make a profit.

F it!

I'm all for Trump. Lets turn the Whitehouse into a reality game show for network television.

At least we would have concrete confirmation that the end was near.

You need to check out how he re-made his fortune.. it was with

That google banner again?

This topic was already discussed here:
http://dailypaul.com/159507/glenn-beck-advertisement-on-the-...

Its a google banner ad, and targets adverts by referencing particular keywords used by both your computer through search engines, and the site itself.

Im not sure why people are so down on Trump. he is refreshing and its nice to get someone in the race who isn't going by the book of politics. Even if you dont agree with everything he says. Unless, of course, you all prefer all main stream candidates who follow the orders of the NWO.

I'm I the only one that wants more Trump ads on here? Common guys let's just take his money and be happy! None of us is voting for him right?

Agreed

I just commented a bit ago about how much of an idiot Trump Co. must be to advertise on a website as biased as this one! Not that we are wrong...but biased none the less.

Love, Liberty, and Truth

It's a paid ad

Ignore it if it offends you. I prefer that Mike gets paid somehow.

HOLD ON!!!

The Trump ad is there for me too. If you click it, it goes to a newsmax poll that has Ron Paul listed.

So why dont everybody click it and vote for Ron!!!

Its a win/win for Ron and Nystrom!

The Horror!

Ads on a website.

I mean, yay free market and yippee and all that...

but you see, I don't do Trump. I once clicked on a topic URL. One time. Uno. One. This was like a month ago. I don't even search Birther issues either. In fact, I don't even Google anything related to this stuff, or current news via that search engine.

But the dude's face is now a perma-Banner. While your sarcasm is cute, it's not warranted.

Oh, and after all this time I've never even clicked the banner itself. I dont click ANY banner on any site!

Is THIS face showing up in your browser?

The ads are selected by

The ads are selected by Google and/or the advertiser directly.

Ad network advertising online is targeted in various ways, any one of which could be the reason why you see a particular ad when you do.

Google's process for blocking ads from displaying on a website isn't really all that good and ends up being far too time consuming and ineffective for web publishers, IMO.

...

So just me typing the word "Trump" too many times on a forum

and pressing Enter, could possibly be the reason why his banner is now perma?

Yes, that might be the

Yes, that might be the reason. Google indexes & analyzes web pages and attempts to deliver contextually relevant ads. So, pages where "Trump" is mentioned may be more likely to display ads that are related to Trump. That's only one of the ways which Google targets ads, though.

It might even be that you were once on the website that is running the Trump ad and now they are retargeting ads to you. With retargeting, Google knows that you were once on the advertiser's website and displays their ad to you (if that is how the advertiser wants to target their ads, to people who have already visited their website). Google would know you were on that website only if the advertiser placed a special Google code on their site in order to enable for this type of targeting.

Notice how the hair follows you? Creeeeepy!

whoah.

That made a huge difference there. No it didn't rid the banner b/c I chose not to install TACO, but the other program is realllly tight. THNX!

sorry, that was to adam.

just visited my particularly aggressive banner financial site... nothing now. In the past it would have generated an automatic video, it's not even there now. this is awesome.

But also I am using the latest Firefox browser, and..

it does not even accept 3rd party cookies, and, I very, very, very rarely visit a "new site". In fact, I only visit a small number of sites that I've been to for multiple years. I guess that I need to evaluate those sites.

Oh I guess you don't even need to click the banner to see where it likely would go.. it says "newsmax.com/surveys" so I guess that seems it's a general tracking phisher. But damn, newsmax or someone must be paying someone else a lot of money to make his nasty picture my constant DP banner.

Have you enabled that feature

Have you enabled that feature or are you just assuming?

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to handle that request. Each of the three major browser makers has put in place its own distinct anti-tracking system. None of them is turned on by default; in fact, they can be quite complex to activate.
