Here in Indy we don't have to register for a party back in MD I was registered libertarian; on and off, sometimes we weren't an official party and sometimes we were.
Registered Ohio
Ohio has open primaries, but I will be a Republican again after the primary once I cast my vote for Dr. Paul. I just moved here last year from Washington state, and until I found Dr. Paul I had no interest in the political landscape.

Neither,
I'm an Independent. Once I vote in the primaries I will be sure to change my part affiliation back to Independent as well.
This is dangerous, NOT a useful poll.
If it shows too many democrats supporting Ron Paul, someone will turn around and try to use it against him.
I am a Republican, registered in Virginia. We don't register by party here, but I was a registered Republican back in Maryland years ago. I have never registered as anything else.
Dangerous? I think not.
Ron Paul has said very publicly that he's attracting Democrats and Independents in addition to true conservative republicans.
It SHOULD be the reason that the "scientific" polls are (supposed to be) inaccurate. Right?
The reason for the poll is to figure out who here has not switched yet (if they are dem) but intend to vote for Ron Paul in a Caucus or Primary.
It appears from the NPR comment board (over 3000) that there are still MANY among us who have not switched to Republican status and will NOT be able to participate in the most important part of what we're doing (VOTING FOR RON PAUL IN A CAUCUS OR PRIMARY)
