Education Yes, Prohibition

Education Yes, Prohibition No!

Great show!

Nothing against Russia, but it is kind of ironic that one of the best places to get news in America these days is called Russia Today! It's really a great show and they talk about stuff the MSM barely touches on if at all! I used to watch Fox, but once I realized that they aren't fair and balanced...during Ron Pauls' run of course!! I stopped watching them...well except for the Judge and Stossell. I like those two guys, I didn't trust Beck from the beginning especially they way he ridiculed Ron Paul and then all of a sudden he's with the people..nah I don't think so Glenn...he mixed just enough truth with lies to make it look/sound good but no thanks. Just wanted to say RT is great and much success for Adam and Luke!! I like those two guys. Also congrats to the DP for being in top 10!! Wow that is great!
So I now get my news from these sites...the DP of course! RT and Alex Jones and if there are any links from these sites I check them out as well.

Fear knocked on my door and Faith answered!

Hey a., I love your signature line!

I so agree, irony, eh?

Faith has sooo many more answer than "science-only" thinking will ever allow.

Hey Thanks :)

I wish I could say I came up with that one! I heard that from someone and it stuck with me. What you say is true, Faith is an abstract and is not measurable by scientific means, and as you probably know everyone has some measure of faith. Science is great! It provides us with many answers, technological advancements, etc. but it cannot explain everything. Especially when you are going through some hard times in life....ahh yeah! science is not where I am going to go look for comfort.

The only thing that irks me

The only thing that irks me about Kokesh is that he says things like "I put my life on the line for your freedom" when that is a blatant lie. We are not a free people and Adam fought for American imperialism..

420

420 is not April 20th, it's the fourth letter of the alphabet "D" and the 20th "T", DT = Drug Time. Like 88, which is HH, nazi's use it instead of Heil Hitler. What?! are you only going to smoke pot once a year? This way you can twice a day!

Pot cures cancer?

wtf?

If you have cancer, smoking pot isn't going to save you.

ACinMA's picture

You dont have to "smoke" it...

And heres some of the cancer related stories..

Adam is a natural for TV; I hope his

career continues this uptrend.

Luke is a perfect match for this show, also

They compliment each other well so far.

I hope to hear even more from young Luke, as he and Obi-wan Kokesh take on the Death Consciousness they are living among, and striving together to rise above.

Grace and peace to you both, my friends.

"Busting the Drug War" The Dawn of Drug Policy Reform

Tuesday, September 21, 2010, 12:00:00 AM

The drug war is a bust, say increasing numbers of law enforcement professionals and politicians. Like Prohibition before it, not only has it failed to achieve its stated goals - it has further led to unaffordable costs, both financial and social. Ethan Nadelmann, founder/director of the Drug Policy Alliance, the nations leading drug policy reform organization, traces the hidden history of drugs laws, which are intimately connected with racism and the political exploitation of peoples fears. He offers a set of practical and effective policy reforms that are now being advocated by a rising tide of former drug warriors.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

" One other nice thing about the Marijuana issue,"

Adam quips before laying down the challenge, "Wanna know how to expose a neo-con? Ask a so-called conservative about marijuana, and watch a self-appointed defender of freedom turn into a driveling nanny-state collectivist!"

I have found Neo-con Christians even more self-contradictory on this subject, because even though alcohol, in it's various beverage forms, is often cautioned about, it is never once prohibited for general consumption. Drunkenness is warned against, as that state of intoxication is hazardous to the drunk and to others around them.

Probably the clearest verse on non-prohibition is found in an often overlooked verse on the subject: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit".(Ephesians 5:18)

Being filled with the Spirit is contrasted with being not drunk with wine, but drunkenness is described as the EXCESS of wine here. Drinking wine is not proscribed, but being drunk is.

"Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities", was a prescription that Paul gave Timothy, for the known benefits that "a little wine" offered those who needed it with those health challenges. (1 Tim. 5:23)

Many Neo-con Christians that I know take the position of total abstinence from wine as the safer position, rather than risking becoming drunk, while never really seeking the fullness of the Spirit either.

This is not at all to disparage alcohol avoidance for whatever reason a person may chose; but shouldn't the benefits of following the scriptural guidance given to us about using wine, be applied to the reasonable decisions we make about using cannabis, against which there is NO mention or warning about?

The bible and weed

http://www.holyhemp.org/

Genesis 1:29
Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you.

Timothy 4:4
For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude;

Perhaps a little too general, exceptions can be easily cited

There are plants and trees that don't serve as good food sources, but every one that does nourish us well ought to be recognized and honored as such.

If we recognize God as our Creator, then shouldn't we give serious consideration to all the benefits He has freely given us in every other created thing provided for our good?

One thing is certain; NO legitimate authority was ever delegated from We the People to cause the kind of actions we see many in government take against harmless, peaceful contributors to society, who also benefit from the prudent use of marijuana more than other remedies tried.
