Tim does not ask softballs
Tim does not ask softballs but he does give people a chance to answer. Expect tough, fair questions covering a full range of Dr. Paul's ideas. This could be a make or break for Ronny. I know of five people who are tuning in to learn more about the $6mm dollar man... If Dr. Paul bombs he does not deserve to be president. HE WON'T BOMB - He'll answer and state his positions...just like we love.

Walter Williams
I emailed Walter Williams a few weeks ago and asked him to be ready if he got the call. He said' thanks for the compliment, but I would never serve in a government post". So, he's not interested. I think he would be great as VP. but it's not going to happen. Ron Paul will pick someone effective.

Sadly for Prof. Williams, to me his totally-rational "I don't want thejob" reaction was proof he's the right guy for the post of VP. I hope a request from our future President Paul will carry more weight with him than an email from me. I was honored he bothered to reply to little old me, though.

I think when the time comes, he will make a short list of his friends who could do the job, and he has a lot of friends. I offered to work for him for $1 a year, in any capacity he could use me in. I am so fired up by this campaign, it's hard to work on anything else. The future is so bright with Dr. Paul in the White House, we'll have to wear shades!

I think if Russert tries to go
negative on Ron Paul, immediately after the show we should push the donations up to $20M.

That's the nice thing about being an RP supporter, you never have to worry that he's going to say someting as incomprehensible as "I voted for funding the troops before I voted against it."
Russert Did Great on Huckabee and Romney
He forced Romney to dodge questions and caused Huckabee to tell jokes and homilies instead of answering. Those are the kind of questions he asks.
He'll ask the same type of tough questions of Paul. How else can he keep the audience interested? He'll ask all the usual ones and some others that are tough.
It's be great! Because the difference is, Ron Paul has the answers, and he'll have the time to answer them. Russert will ask follow-up questions and everyone will be able to see Dr. Paul's depth of wisdom and knowledge of history and politics and economics and human nature...

Keep in mind, this is about RATINGS too!
Russert is no dummy! This is the Sunday BEFORE CHRISTMAS, when overwise many may not even tune in to watch him.
1) he knows "WE" will
2) he knows "others will" if they smell a controversy
It may well be a lot of smoke with no fire, but they are going for RATINGS given the Holiday weekend. Let's not get too defensive...just yet :-)
Watch Out for Violations
All too frequently, incumbents use public funds and public employees to campaign illegally. I'm not worried about Meet the Press.
I think we can be helpful in keeping an eye out for misuse of public resources by any of the candidates or their supporters who are in public office. I know, for example, that police officers in uniform can't speak in favor of or against ballot measures or candidates while on duty or in uniform, and I'm sure the same principle applies to federal races.
We should be prepared to file complaints or TRO's, or whatever is appropriate if we see any of the above.

The senate is preventing bush from making interim appointments to the FEC commission (probably to prevent him from doing anything with it in the general election) and so the FEC is ineffectual right now.

10-20 years ago, the media had a stranglehold on information. Not so today.
Ron Paul will be Ron Paul. Russert has made his bones on interviewing liars.
He is ill prepared to interview a truthful politician, in fact, Russert most likely has never interviewed one in his life! He will be in unknown territory.
Telling the truth in every venue, and standing on principle, will blast through any media spin.

Dr. Paul's answer on the $500
Was perfect. It was logical, sensible, and practical.
Their attempt at spin only showcases how lame they are.
Just a guess...
They will talk about the Don Black $500 donation. His answer on Tucker was perfect and doesn't need anymore explanation. The guy even said that he liked Ron's views on Iraq and Spending, not implying that Ron is a racist. I think Ron is far from it.
Ron's message has united people from all over. It's not a democrat of republican message. It's an American message and I'd love for him to say that.

There were some quotes made some 15 years ago that I believe Russert will attempt to tie to this donation. Those quotes were used against Paul once before in one of his Texas runs.
I really hope Dr. Paul has prepared himself for what might be coming. That snide laugh of Russert's makes me think he is going to attempt to put Paul between a rock and a hard place over this.
I can just see Russert and all the neo cons licking their chops, just waiting for this interview.
And if it plays out the way I think it will, just maybe this donation was not such an innocent donation.
Amazing how this one $500 donation was plucked out of over 120,000 others to be honed in on, absolutely amazing. Makes one wonder, doesn't it?
I knew when a bottom feeder like Rove made an
appearance on Hannity's that things were going to start going negative for Ron Paul and his supporters. And it didn't take that long
He is so afraid of the Ron Paul movement that he and his paid operatives will do whatever it takes to stop it whether what they are disseminating is true or not.
He doesn't care as long as it accomplishes his intended goal...the destruction of the Ron Paul Revolution. This Revolution is something he hadn't planned on, but he has so many options his dirty tricks bag, it won't take him that long to get up to speed in order to complete his mission.
Unlike Bush he means to make "Mission Accomplished" a reality when it comes to Ron Paul.

This is entirely different, this is the beginning of an attempt to slash and burn the Ron Paul Revolution and he is attempting to use racism to do it. After all, it usually works, you just need to look at the unemployment line to see all those who fell because of this tactic.
All I saying is to be prepared for what's coming.

This teaser taken along with Russert's similar statement on Morning Joe (and he was laughing when he said it) make me think that NBC is out to get Ron.
