The weather looks good for a balloon banner flight Friday morning and possibly something in the afternoon as well. We need a high vis launch site at least 5 miles E /SE from Manchester airport (Derry?), 100' x 100' with no power lines nearby, some volunteer set up crew and permission from the land owner and a reasonable motel nearby for us, arriving Thursday night. WMUR-TV has contacted me. Lets make this happen if we possibly can.

I searched for some helium blimps that people can personalize. Imagine having a blimp on your roof, office building, parking lot, driveway, front yard, children, pets, supporting Ron Paul. Just kidding about the kids and pets ;)

Dropping leaflets into peoples property is littering and you will be fined and or arrested. They take the Environment up there very very seriously. You cannot seriously think this will produce any good. The News coverage for you for a week or more of the crimninal charges against you will be damaging to the campaign.. You cannot be serious? Please I beg you to reconsider this plan.

This place is not a place to joke about committing a crime against someones property. It may give someone ideas that are counter productive to the campaign.. Post this on thespoof.com or such.

Small boxes with parachutes like a supply drop. Should make a nice picture.
Actually it's really no colder up there than on the ground. So if you dress warm you're ok. The feet get cold after an hour or so from standing around.
The balloon likes the cold weather. We fly on the difference between internal temp and external ambient temp. You don't have to heat it as much in the winter.

I need one of those inflight web cams like the blimp has.

Drop the box then there is no littering if a supporter picks up the box. If you want to have a drop in Michigan we would love to have you come. It is really cold how do you stay warm. Does the balloon travel well in the cold seems it would be hard to keep it inflated? I really don't know anything about this stuff but it sure is interesting.

When I watched the old films of wartime propaganda leafletting, I always wondered what kind of idiot would pick up a leaflett dropped from an enemy bomber and believe any of it?

Drop a bunch of leaflets on my neighborhood ,and you come pick them up.

I have a few pilot friends that I could borrow their launch sites from.
One is in the Hillsboro area, another in Henniker, One is just west of Manchester but we have to stay away from the airport there. Another lives in Derry. I have also flown in Pittsfield, Lebanon and the North Conway valley before.

I'd love to bring it up to the Mount Washington Hotel where they signed the Bretton Woods banking agreement.

dropping leaflets to volunteers could be done as long as there is no danger to persons or property on the ground. We could fly low over a field and drop some for a video clip if volunteers picked them up.

What if the information drop was with a parachute. Like how they drop supplies. That could be pretty funny and volunteers could pick up the bundle and distribute it. I think this could be interesting.
