"I don't want the income tax, do you?"

Colbert responds, "Hell NO!"

Of course, you can never take anything he says seriously, but that was a fun ending. Great to see Ron Paul laughing like that.

He is coming out of the gates STRONG!

Run Paul Run!!!!

I am so proud of Dr. Paul and hope the warm reception all these hosts have given him, is a sign that he is being taken seriously!!

With the way he is trending...2012 could be our year!

STRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to savor this day

The word "wow" keeps coming out of my mouth as I watch each of the interviews. One day the other shoe will drop.... but today, I'm enjoying a warm glow.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

Great show

Colbert tried to get him but couldn't. Ron was serious yet at the same time actually funny and witty. He owned the show!

I like seeing this...

It's great to see once in awhile how Colbert breaks character.

There were obvious moments in that interview where he heard what Ron said, but you could see the cogs in his head turning as he thought, "Well the man's right, but now I have to make it funny..."

noticed that too!

Debt Ceiling Answer

He MUST jump on the Debt Ceiling commentary and state we need to pay our debts FIRST and turtle crossings second. Before we get to the point where we are borrowing money to pay our interest on debt.

He needs to ask back: Do you think we borrow money to pay back our interest on borrowed money??? Why would the first thing you choose not to pay be your lender and not your luxuries?

Big, big smile!!! :)

That was a serious interview - Colbert agreed with him on everything! Ron Paul came off looking like the hippest guy in the room!! Great job RON! I can see the young people looking up Ron Paul right now...

I especially liked his incredulous question to Colbert: "Do you believe in the income tax?" Classic set up for the "Hell no!"

Who is your Marilyn Monroe?

LMFAO! That was a good one!

Who's complaining about this?

This was a GREAT showing by Ron!

That was pretty good!

I liked the part where Colbert said "I didn't know who you were, and now I know you are Rand Paul's dad!"

It was good light-hearted fun and Steven really didn't try too hard to show Ron Paul in a bad light as he does with other politicians.

All in all, I think the good doctor did very well and managed to get a few digs at the Feds as counterfeiters.

I am quite happy with this outcome.

"Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory." --- Sun Tzu, The Art of War.

A few digs at the Fed?

I thought it was among Dr. Paul's best shovelfests at spelling out the tyrannical hubris the Fed uses to carry out their criminal enterprise as though it was legit.

Among all the good-natured banter, there were some serious charges made and acknowledged, that deserve hearings, trials, convictions, and sentences, before they finish doing all that they seem to be planning and carrying out against us.

Ron Paul

knows what the atmosphere on Colbert will be...so we gotta assume he knows what he's doing there.

I guess he's sayin' "lighten-up y'all".

IT is Comedy Central

I realize that colbert and stewart are closer to the news than any news outlet, but we must remember that they are on a Comedy Channel....

And Ron Paul was excellent in this format, creating a joking atmosphere right back at colbert.

Ron Paul Machine

I think Ron Paul is a MACHINE! and I mean a robot. He is programmed to say the same thing every time, never fluctuates, never tires, just keeps going and going.

I am actually tired just watching all the Ron Paul clips and news today, how does he do it?

I'm lukewarm on this one...

Colbert took every opportunity to make RP look bad, right from the beginning with that asbestos comment. But every exposure he can get is good, so overall a plus for him.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Good fun

Dr. Paul is a lot more polished now than 4 years ago. He had a lot of fun and more than held his own with Colbert.

Good to see him in such a positive light.

That made me smile !!

It was light hearted, can't expect much more from Colbert.
I thought he was at the book signing ??

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

That put a big smile on my face.

This was a great day for the good doctor. I have a feeling this election is gonna be a lot of fun.

Those in the Establishment are about to get a slap of reality. They have no clue how many new fans and supporters Ron Paul has gained since 2007.

I hear the sound of rEVOLution stirring in the air again.

Colbert is Lampooning Ron -- You guys can see that right?

The good part is his audience is not bright enough to spot it, so as a twist of fate RP comes off looking good.

Colbert lampoons everyone

No one goes on that show expecting to be anything other than the butt of some jokes. The best guests are confident enough to take it with a smile and turn the tables once in a while. Ron did great.

Yes, Colbert is little punk.

He makes his money by mocking people. And the amazing thing is many people don't realize it, including Daily Paul members.

I'm afraid that's the way I

I'm afraid that's the way I saw it too! I also thought the audience was polite...not supportive.

And Dr Ron is lampooning right back

at him if you watch his face. He seemed to have a grand time with those folks today. He's no dummy . . . he knows exactly what he is doing.

Phil. 4:13

I hope he does

I think at some point you have to say NO to a show.

I cant imagine why this show is even on the air.

Does Ron Paul really think the folks watching this will tie two thoughts together in order to draw a conclusion to vote for him?????

Ron Paul did great

He knew what he was walking into, and he was ready.

Go Ron Paul!!
