What's up with GB's studio?

What's up with GB's studio? Looks freaky... like some Scientology center or something.

I Disagree With Most Of You

As usual. I'm seeing a lot self-defeatism again.

Our goal has been to CHANGE peoples minds. We've done that and all I see is complaining and paranoia.

I'm thinking

you haven't watched/listened to a lot of Beck?

It's not paranoia if people

It's not paranoia if people really are out to get you. The former director of the CIA said that they own anyone of any significance in the media. I don't know for sure if this includes beck, but he is someone of significance. I also know that the CIA likes to be involved. If there is a significant movement to End the Fed, rest assured that they are going to want to have some influence in it. Trust Beck if you want too, but he has done too much damage when things really matter for me.

but its still complaining.

Something to keep in mind

“The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media.”
–William Colby, former CIA Director

Glenn sounded like a grown

Glenn sounded like a grown son after he has started a family talking with his wise father and agreeing with his wisdom, as he points out the mistakes of his past. Great interview, Great respect.
now it is up to us

Yes, admitting mistakes is

Yes, admitting mistakes is good and changing your position when you see the errors of your ways is all good; still, I'll never trust Beck after what he did with Medina.

Diggin' you on that.

When Ron was speculating, beck calls it a conspiracy theory.

Ron took a right to defend oneself approach to the Israel topic which keeps him neutral on the territory beck wants to go. That being, are you backing the Isreali's, or not.

Shoot, this was supposed to have been a reply to Sailing away.

If you listened much to Beck

you could tel he was joking.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Sorry, I only catch what shows up here.

I used to watch when I first starting getting involved back in 07 but after the Hannity and Beck hits, I moved on.

I would bet that

more intelligence was injected in that 11 minutes, than in the entire span of GB's radio show.

I'm dumbfounded.

It is amazing how RP brings life to these otherwise meaningless drivel shows, like Spitzer, and the others.

Bravo RP.

I think it would be foolish for us to think

there aren't people in the "establishment" actively seeking ways to absorb Ron Paul's appeal by mimicking some of his positions, and thus reduce the demand for Ron Paul in this election. I think that is what Beck is now working on.

I think he believes criticizing the Fed in a Ron Paul style is the ticket to achieve this end - to attempt to neutralize/co-opt/absorb Ron Paul. (Lord knows they can't call RP's character into question.)

Talk about absorb his people...did you note the freedomworks ad

for a different version of what I'm sure is a datamining meetup system?

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

Hey Michael, I just noticed the new picture of Ron EXCELLENT!!!

and they should crop it like that on the web page too....:p

Michael Nystrom's picture

Yeah - you like it?

I like it too. Much better than the old one. I was thinking about it last night, and I did it first thing today on the site.

I'm glad you noticed!

The Daily Paul continues to exist only with your support. Please contribute to the the DP's Summer 2014 Fundraiser.

I like the change but overall think the other is better up front

Not better for me, but better for newcomers.

I like the design, and the photo is definitely better, but the mostly colorless black, white, and gray makes it look like an old photo from the 20th century or a history book. I would not want to have an old looking image of Ron Paul up front on the homepage, nor the website because he is old and he's going to get attacked for that.

How does the photo look in color? Maybe not as good?

I was just as bored of the old one too, but it had several good qualities; it was very vibrant and colorful, it looked patriotic with the flag in the background, the red of the flag complimented the Daily Paul headline, but most importantly it would probably be more appealing to the general public.

the old one reminded me of a bad high school album

picture. This is stylish!

I guess I see this differently than you do. I see it as a trap

that failed. He strokes and strokes and strokes then repeatedly asks a purely libertarian phrasing of the Israel question -- would Ron vocally support its right to defend itself, and when Ron says yes, immediately Glen backs off and as soon as Ron ends his spiel, the interview is over, with no happiness nor agreement by Glen.

In fact, watch the end. When Ron talks about that vote he took by himself defending Israel's right to defend itself, Glen gets a 'no, he never!' look on his face and TURNS OFF CAMERA WITH HIS HAND OUT and a look on his face disbelievingly asking 'have YOU ever heard he did that?' before he shuts off the interview, and I got the impression he didn't expect nor particularly want that response.

Glenn was different at the

Glenn was different at the end..I noticed that..he did not seem very happy and I am not really sure why. However, in the past he laughed at Ron a lot. So I just don't know. I do see what you saw, tho..

Hearts and minds a little at a time. That's how it works.

Glenn Beck: Attach himself to

Glenn Beck: Attach himself to Ron Paul and then when some neo-con like Alan West comes along, he says "I found someone like Ron Paul but EVEN BETTER!.

Hope I'm wrong.

Ventura 2012

If his actions in the past are any indicator...

That is exactly what he will do.

Here was a great opportunity to remind everyone that both OPEC and the Federal Reserve Banking Cartel are CARTELS. Americans know that OPEC is a cartel but they seldom realize that the FED is one too...

If Ron Paul could just say the word "cartel" EVERY time he says "Fed" - we could get people to wonder, "why is Ron Paul always using the C word?"

Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck is an opportunist hack that makes me sick. Was it only me that caught him belittling Ron Paul when RP states “I believe right now because of our policies and because of our polices failing in the Middle East and the Mediterranean they’re more vulnerable than ever because when you think that we were propping up artificially, the Egyptian Government,…but with all these overthrows they’re liable to get more radical people…” and Glenn Becks says to this true statement: “That’s a crazy conspiracy theory”…laffs and looks at someone off camera. He did a not so subtle hit job on RP with that statement by implying RP was talking “Conspiracy Theories” when talking about the right for Israel to defend itself. Glenn Beck makes me sick and I wish RP would’ve addressed what Glenn Beck said about that. RP was right on the money by saying Israel is in a more precarious position as a result of our foreign policy decision to prop up dictators that have since fallen, only now to probably be replaced by a gov’t whose attitude is less cordial towards Israel and resents the way their former gov’t has cooperated with Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians.

I think, in this instance

Beck was saying that "tongue in cheek"..... in other words, he was subtly saying that he agrees, but that others would criticize it as a "crazy conspiracy theory". That's how I took that comment, anyway.

Yeah, that's how I took it as

Yeah, that's how I took it as well. I'll be honest here... I love the DP. I come at least daily and I'm sure that will increase as the campaign ramps up. However, I almost never link here to my friends and people whom I want to convince of libertarian philosophy bc I'm afraid they'll run into threads like this. When someone like Beck says, "i was wrong," even if it's just on a single issue, we should really take that as a win and even thank the host for the fair treatment, rather than being so jaded from past experience that we jump on them. Our captain is a class act diplomat who will partner w anyone if they can agree on a single issue.

We could learn from that. He doesn't appear to be holding grudges, so maybe we don't need to on his behalf.

Beck Desperate to Stay Rellevant His Career Threatened

Right out on the surface for you to see. Beck lost contract with Fox and his career is mortally wounded, his future foggy. Beck is desperate to catch up to the Ron Paul juggernaut. That's where all the people are. That's where all the ratings will be.

Beck is a snake, no friend of freedom. He's desperate so he sounds sweet.

This is TEMPORARY and if Beck smells his personal survival, he will turn on Ron Paul, as he turned on Debra Medina, as he viciously attacked Ron Paul for everything up to and including the Money Bomb (associating Ron Paul supporters with terrorism).

The man is worthless. I hope Dr. Paul keeps his distance from Beck.

The Impact of a Beck endorsement

would be huge. I think everyone would agree with that. I have been surprised by Beck quite a bit over the last year talking about things that most other pundits will not, on doing so on both radio and on television... Specifically, his tirade against the Fed recently is huge, and it led me to believe that Beck may eventually come out for Ron Paul in 2012. If he does, the impact will be huge. Beck reaches approximately 25 million people a week (probably 1/3 that since most radio listeners also watch his TV show, but...) and Paul did not enjoy that kind of support last time. THIS time, he has Judge Napolitano, John Stossel and... possibly... Beck. Hannity will dog him out, O'Reilly will dog him out, Rush will dog him out, Ingraham will dog him out, Savage will dog him out, Levin will dog him out... but if Palin bows out of a run for the white house and also supports Paul, he will enjoy a much larger support base than ever before. I just hope the Tea-o-cons will figure things out and jump on board, too.
