National GOP Primary Poll: Trump 19% Romney 17% Huckabee 15% Paul 8%

Still a lot of work to do.

Republican primary voters at this early stage of the game now give billionaire developer Donald Trump the edge over presumptive favorites Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee in the race to be the GOP’s presidential nominee in 2012.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters finds Trump with 19% support, just ahead of the former governors, Massachusetts’ Romney at 17% and Arkansas’ Huckabee with 15%. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and ex-House Speaker Newt Gingrich are tied for fourth place with nine percent (9%) each, closely followed by Texas Congressman Ron Paul at eight percent (8%). Rounding out the list are former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty (5%) and Mitch Daniels, the current governor of Indiana, at three percent (3%). Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, and 11% are undecided when presented with this list of candidates.

it's like a twilight zone episode

1 in 5 my foot!

i don't know 2 people who would muster a vote in that direction.

maybe they said it out of jest.

To the Pollsters..

Trump advertised on their site lol

Coming soon to a primary near

Coming soon to a primary near you?

The Donald vs. The Ronald!!

Only 3 states matter: What does Rasmussen say for those?

As we all learned, only 3 states matter, the shepple republicans will all fall behind the winner to beat the Democrats ....

So, the question is, what are Ron Pauls poll numbers in

New Hampshire
South Carolina

Wrong, only 2 states matter- Iowa picks corn NH picks Presidents

Wrong, only 2 states matter- Iowa picks corn New Hampshire picks Presidents.

If Ron looses New Hampshire he has lost.

If Ron looses Iowa he will likely also then loose in New Hampshire.

100% of Ron Paul Meetups Nationwide need to focus 90% of their people and resources on adopting Ron Paul supporters in these two states.

If one person from every state would adopt one person in Iowa...
If one person in every state would adopt one person in New Hampshire...

...then each Iowa and New Hampshire based Ron Paul supporter would have nearly 50 people supporting him/her with time and money to spare...

...and I know from organizing 10 meetup groups last time around we can do much better than this.

Again, only 2 states matter- Iowa picks corn New Hampshire picks Presidents.

I don't know why they even do these polls.

There is no such thing as a "national primary."

Just more drivel from the direct democracy socialists at Rasmussen.

Another fine example of a meaningless statistic that has no real world application.

$100 million couldn't buy a CA senate Seat, Donald Chump.

$100 million couldn't buy a CA senate Seat, Donald Chump. And Linda "Wild World of Wrestling" McMahon couldn't purchase CT for $50 million. Chump's a freak show.

Romney is far more dangerous to liberty and the general survivability of these United States.

Huck's doin' fine on his CNN gig. He should stay put.

Palin's a dizzy hairball who should go back to observing Russia from her back porch.

That leaves Dr. Paul M.D. to prescribe some serious medicine for 300,000,000 credit addicts goin' cold turkey!

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Unfortunately this reflects how the mainstream Republicans

think. They do not have the same values as Ron Paul.

There are just not sufficient numbers to restore freedom at the polls.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

We have to challenge the group think idea that there is such a

thing as "mainstream" anything, much less Republican.

It is a bully club to beat you down with on par with "society says" and "everyone knows."

The only way to "define" what Republicans believe is to ask each and every one of them. And I assure you there will be no single overreaching consensus there or anywhere else.

It is clear that GOP is not

It is clear that GOP is not interested in putting up a candidate to champion the people or restore the constitution or balance a budget to stave off looming bankruptcy. Who is it they are polling? Considering Ron Paul won their CPAC poll for two years running...why do they continuously go fishing for new numbers and hope the voters won't know the difference.

Gag me with a spoon.

Gag me with a spoon.

Huck? The Grinch? Sarah? THE DONALD, for crying out loud?

GOP favorite:Romney

Romney was pre-ordained long

Romney was pre-ordained long before the theatrics even started. He has no standing in public polling that I've ever seen...yet they keep promoting him whether you want it or not. The GOP does not have the heart, the cause, the knowledge, the wisdom to rule anything. They only offer cunning, surreptitiousness and war, more war. with the exception of Ron Paul, of course, their only real choice and champion of American people.

They should be embarassed

These results are pathetic!

For the record, Donald Trump never did anything for me personally, but I've made a lot of money taking Ron Paul's investment advice. THAT's how Ron Paul helps the poor...by telling them honestly what they can do to preserve and possibly increase their wealth!

This is actually a good sign.

This is the best Ron has ever done nationally, and is infinitely better than at the same time in 2007. He has gotten so much more name recognition.

Yes, I think the "fix" is in, a fix of political and economic events which will overcome any fix by the powers that be.

We're going to win it this time!

The Ron Paul team

will have to work its ass off in Iowa and New Hampshire. If voter ignorance were snow it would take a massive snow plow to clear it away.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

We are the Paul Team.

We are the Paul Team.
