The 4000 babies

bullet needs to be a pro-life statement (like it or not). In fact I believe there is a quote where Ron Paul says he has never been in a position where either the mother's life or baby's life was in jeopardy leading to an an abortion.

The people I spoke to regarding RP in 2008 didn't support him because they thought he was pro-choice. Focus-on-the- Family's candidate placard had him listed as pro-choice (I wrote them to tell them otherwise - it did no good). These placards are handed out in churches and are powerful influences in the religious sector. Perhaps you could include that he was the ONLY candidate in 2008 to attend the Right-to-Life march and was supported by the plaintiff in Roe vs. Wade. Or just simply state that he is pro-life. You may not like any of this rhetoric but it is very powerful to those who find it meaningful and it translates into votes. This is why Huckabee is popular in the south.

I would use the fact that he is an M.D. to support the health care aspect.

Good job!

Pro-life statement will be added..

Thanks. I have seven kids so I'm very much pro-life. You can't defend liberty and the pursuit of happiness in you don't defend life.

Would you use M.D. instead of OB-GYN?

Thanks for the comments and encouragement. I'm working on a few other cards and plan on offering a "multi-pack" where you can get a mix if you like. That way you can hand a specific card targeting a certain audience. Got to start with one though.

Restore the Foundations - "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

That is just great!

Besides the M.D. part that has already been pointed out, it is great! Good work my friend.

I have a friend that is really into names so one day

I dug this up for her:

Ronald \r(o)-na-ld\ as a boy's name is pronounced RAH-nald. It is of Old Norse origin, and the meaning of Ronald is "ruler's counselor".
http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/1/Ronald

ERNEST
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, French, Slovene
Pronounced: UR-nəst (English)  [key]
Derived from Germanic eornost meaning "serious". It was introduced to England by the German House of Hanover when they inherited the British throne in the 18th century, though it did not become common until the following century. The American author and adventurer Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) was a famous bearer of the name. It was also used by Oscar Wilde for a character in his comedy 'The Importance of Being Earnest' (1895).

Paul \paul\ as a boy's name is pronounced pahl. It is of Latin origin, and the meaning of Paul is "small". Popular Roman and medieval name used commonly since the 18th century. Biblical: the apostle evangelist. Paul's letters to early Christians form the majority of the books of the New Testament.

So =
Ruler's counselor, who makes himself "small" (humble) in order that he may alert the known world to the message of "Liberty".

Huh? How ya like them apples? Anybody else get goosebumps?? :) Off subject but your title brought it to memory.

Freedom is not: doing everything you want to.
Freedom is: not having to do what you don't want to do.

Like the back but not the front

The bullet points on the back of the card seem solid IMO. Why did you choose "Restore the Foundations" instead of the official campaign "Restore America Now"? The official one is better IMO. Also, Why the period after "DR." but not "MD"? That's kind of weird. Also, why not mention he's a 14 term Congressmen? Also, the quote from Reagan could possibly be polarizing to those still mentally stuck in the false Left/Right paradigm. Why not take a quote from one of RP's speeches like "Let it not be said we did nothing..."?

Thanks for the suggestions on the card...

I designed this card with a specific audience in mind, and for use during the primary, pre-general election, I'm directly targeting those "conservatives" stuck in the right paradigm - the ones that idolize Reagan and have "support our troops" bumper sticker on their cars. My thought is to try and use this card to tweak the interest of those not so likely to get on the web and do research, as a norm, let's say 45+ - people who actually remember when America had some "Foundations".

If you notice, I purposefully messed with the logo too. My memory is too vivid of renting and running a booth for Ron Paul at the local county fair with the "Hope For America" signs. No where did they even reference "President 2008" and people thought he was running for dog-catcher. We MUST NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES TWICE (which I see is happening all over again). Everything we produce should have PRESIDENT 2012 boldy stated.

"Restore the Foundations" to me, is more substantive than "Restore America Now". We won't be "restoring America now" or anytime soon, (if ever). At best, we will put our finger in the dike to buy just a little more time.

I'm also trying to break through the veil of deception that many Christians are under by referencing part of an old-Testament scripture, "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Psalm 11:3. I heard Ron Paul personally say that a Republic needs two elements to thrive - personal responsibility and morality. Those are the foundations I'm referencing.

--I'm adding the period after MD.

--I already mentioned that he was recently elected to his llth term with a 79% majority". I verified the number of terms with Steven at Ron Paul's Congressional office in Washington this morning).

--The Reagan quote is intentional on this card, as is the heavy emphasis on the military on the back. This card is designed for the person who's been sold the lie that Ron Paul is out of the mainstream as a Conservative. We know that for many "conservatives", Reagan is immortalized in their minds as being the conservatives conservative. Although we know that he wasn't quite so conservative, when measured with Ron Paul, they don't know that.

I agree with you that the front quote should be updated for the main election to something that has broader appeal (IMHO).

Thank you so much for your objective critique - that's what I'm looking for.

Restore the Foundations - "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

It is not a period after MD.

It is not a period after MD. Being an abbreviation for medical doctor it needs two periods. M.D.
I am not sure the 4000 baby deliveries is a needed bullet. There are other points more salient, to me. Like he got more military donations in 2008 than all other candidates combined. Looks nice. Add Liberty Defined as a best-selling book, too.

Thank you. Military donations is there...

The baby thing is to suggest two things. Ron Paul knows health care (he had a career in it), and Ron Paul believes in LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

So I should put M.D.? or is MD better. Or leave the Dr. and MD out?

Restore the Foundations - "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
