4 YEARS AGO ...................

Krugman probably did not even know who Ron Paul was. The good Doctor must be surging in private polls; otherwise, why would he be getting so much attention from all directions.

As if the FED's money printing had *nothing* to do with the devaluation of the dollar and the loss of purchasing power, and the ripple effect through the world's economy.

These two guys are clowns. They need to get a new schtick.

If they really, really believe that the money printing (QE1 , QE2) will buoy the economy, when do they think the effects will take hold? Decades, wtf? Because they sure don't seem to have, in any significant way, up to now.

Give it UP already Krugman, you've been debunked, man.

If Paul Krugman is an economist...

then Barack Obama is a peacemaker. Oh, that's right, they did win Nobel Prizes in those arenas. My advice, boys, give them back.

Thank you

...for making me laugh out loud! What a great sentence! I'll definitely send to my friends.

Right-On Bob-45! Great comparison.

Shows the FARCE that are the Nobel Prizes.

I think Krugman's insults directed at Bernanke, are going to backfire. Krugman appears to be telling Bernanke to "man up", and my friend Megan suggested that Bernanke will get some balls....gold balls.

Krugman; what a total piece of socialist cr*p.

Krugman is living in the wrong country.

He has NO BUSINESS living in a country based on liberty when he is a Communist in nature.

I have not liked this idiot for years.

Krugman, and other

Krugman, and other contemporary Keynesians seems to have forgotten that an integral part of Keynes argument was that in the long run, we're all dead. Which Keynes, and those around him, now are.

The long run has arrived, and even Keynes himself seems to have realized that when that happened, his economic prescriptions were pure folly and gibberish, but that the thirties was such a "one off" event that disregarding economic laws for awhile was worth it.

For self important people, like leftist (and many right wing) intellectuals, the particular time they happen to live through is always "different", special, and of greater significance than any other time, before or after; and should be treated differently, with natural laws disregarded.

But anyway, whatever merit Keynes' theories might have had in the short run when starting from scratch in the thirties, surely are no have a priori validity after 8 decades of Keynesian policies have rendered the prevailing environment entirely different from what it was when they were introduced as a short term emergency fix.

In the long run Keynesian economics should be dead, too.

national debts

The debt can be eliminated with a strike of the pen. Perhaps this idea should be visited?

Mises, Hayek talk about the 'intellectuals'

The Austrian writers always talk about the disinformation from the 'intellectuals' and I always expect them to use Krugman as an example, but then remember that they were writing in 1940's.

Oh sh*t. It's all our fault!

When the US treasury and Bankster ponzi schemes collapse, you can bet, somehow, they will find lies to blame the only people that publically warned others and told them the truth. They must in their futile attempts to hold power.

Perhaps it will do me some good to watch vids of our national guard shooting rioters via long distance. Perhaps not.

Like blaming the flood for the rain!

Except it's a flood of criticism from Dr. Paul!

Is he admitting that RP now shapes monetary policy?

Krugman should give back his prize after this comment, very unprofessional imo.

Krugman should give back his

Krugman should give back his prize b/c he's not an economist but an operative for the Democratic Party

Blaming critics for unsound Fed policy? Circular reasoning at it's finest..

People don't attack nobodies

Three cheers for Ron Paul!

He's the man.

Question on the available actions of the fed...

If what the fed has been doing can be regarded as altruistic in their eyes but overall dangerous in execution over time, what can they do to really mess things up? I mean what tools would they be able to employ to damage the economy if they were to feel backed up against the wall and surreptitiously attack the economy and blame it on Paul?

Today is a really weird day

Not that Krugman ever makes sense but this op-ed is bizarro. It seems like people are abandoning reason in droves...

If you think this is bad

Just imagine the gnashing of teeth when they finally end the Fed.

People like Krugman are going to run amok in public with scimitars and machetes.

I have this one on my YouTube page.

If this is true then Mr.

If this is true then Mr. Krugman seems to think that Ron Paul is almighty powerful dude.

Krugman should really come to RP's Subcommittee to defend FED policies and explain what is the connection between RP and unemployment. That would be fun.

It's just simple Krugman math!

2 + 2 = strawberries.

Same as saying unemployment = Ron Paul.

Krugman is nothing more than another paid actor intentionally misleading the sheep.
