RLC supporting Gary Johnson and bashing Ron Paul and the dailypaul.com

For all of you GJ supporters read this. This is not by accident by the Johnson campaign. Don't think for a second they are not behind this, this is another Bob Barr all over again.

A man that can't even keep his own marriage vows WILL IN NO WAY EVER keep his campaign promises.

Portions of the article on their website:

Paul’s hardcore current supporters, while enthusiastic, also turn people off from their candidate time and time again. At RonPaulForums.com and DailyPaul.com, Jews are targeted by diehard supporters for being pro-Israel and for creating and maintaining the Federal Reserve System. Such conspiracy theories and endless attacks are not productive for the liberty movement. In fact, they hurt the liberty message and their sentiments are anti-libertarian according to Congressman Paul himself. Unfortunately, neither the Congressman nor his numerous organizations have ever put out a message to distance themselves from these activists.

In addition to the vocal conspiratorial-minded supporters who are a turnoff when trying to make a dent in electoral politics, Paul also has two items of baggage to contend with: First, he doesn’t seem to care about accepting money from known white supremacists like Don Black, who donated $500 to the Paul 2008 campaign. Mr. Black was the former Grand Wizard of the KKK. It seems that the $500 would have been less important than sending a message regarding the types of supporters valuable to a campaign focused on winning.

Finally, the Ron Paul newsletter issue has still not been resolved. All we know so far is that it was not Congressman Paul who either approved of the newsletters or knew about them until after the fact, but racist newsletters will become an issue with the media if the Congressman wins the GOP nomination. Newsletters with Dr. Paul’s name from 1992 implied blacks were more likely to commit crimes than whites. The controversial newsletters include rants against the Israeli lobby, gays, AIDS victims and Martin Luther King, Jr., who is described as a “pro-Communist philanderer.” Given that Paul’s General Election opponent is Barack Obama, the Paul for President campaign post-primary may be over before it even began given the toxicity of these two items of baggage.

Is Gary going to denounce the RLC? I think not!

"A man that can't even keep

"A man that can't even keep his own marriage vows WILL IN NO WAY EVER keep his campaign promises."

I have some things to say about this because it pisses me off, but I'll keep it clean and have you know that I didn't read any further because of that line. I was interested in reading the article though. People make mistakes and live to regret them. It's all about learning from those mistakes.

Wow $500 from someone in the

Wow $500 from someone in the KKK?!! Arrest that man!

Chicken feed compared to who the other candidates received donations from. Being racist is only a state of mind. I don't think anyone from the KKK has sent people to die in foreign wars, bail out wall street firms and banks, inflate the monetary supply to cripple the destitute and impoverished even more. Chicken feed!

Southern Agrarian

Not to mention...

Ron Paul's policies would actually enable minorities to flourish. So the joke's on those KKK members for actually funding the further destruction of the institutionalized racism that drives their movement.

I don't play, I commission the league.

I do agree with one

thing and that is the percolation of conspiracy theories here on the DP that turn off outsiders from joining the movement. Although, some of the theories do have some ground though such as the Bilderberg group's desire to control resources and government policy. I just think we should focus on the positives when talking to and educating people outside of the movement. When people here about conspiracy theories, it just turns them off IMO.

I agree. This is a place

I agree. This is a place where a lot of people are intolerant of personal views that are not your political views. If you're not a truther, if you're not an agnostic/atheist (this maybe less so than on leftist forums but it's still present), if you're personally pro-Israel but don't support aid to them, prepare to get insulted. They seem to forget Ron Paul supports the blowback theory over trutherism, he's a very religiously conservative Southern Baptist and he supports moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

I quit reading after:

"A man that can't even keep his own marriage vows WILL IN NO WAY EVER keep his campaign promises."

That's a ridiculous statement.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

This post is very old.

The RLC is advertising Justin Amash and Ron Paul on their front page. The article linked to no longer exists.

This information is the standard boilerplate unsubstantiated smear against Dr. Paul that has been doing the rounds for years. It is the despairing cry of a lost soul who is consumed with anger and hatred and pours it out on the one man that Doug Wead has called "A clean boat in a sea of garbage" in the vain hope that they can pull him down to their level.

Dr. Paul has courageously stood for truth and liberty in the midst of corruption and venality for forty years. He is still standing and speaking the same message to a slowly awakening populace. We must stop printing this nonsense and giving it air time. Consider the source and I am not talking about the RLC which is completely supportive of one of its most beloved members. The source is the bottomless pit of lies and deception that is present in all of us and responds to this kind of calumny.

Proverbs 18:8 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down into the person’s innermost being.

And there they corrupt us if we allow them to.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

It was written by that hack that Ron Paul fired Aaron Biterman.

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

It's gone alright. Thank goodness.

That link took me to another article entirely and one that is much better. It's called The Case for Ron Paul in 2012 and is one of the best I have read. It is by Marcus Tully. It gives an accurate description of the difference between Dr. Paul and Gary Johnson.

This link may work but then again it may not.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

No It Is Still There Scroll Down A Little

It is the second article.

Thanks.

I got slammed by some DPers a month ago...

for expressing my displeasure with GJ and his supporters. I saw it as as a hijacking of Ron supporters for GJ. I still see it that way. The truth is coming out now and I feel totally vindicated and justified in speaking out. GJ may have a role to play but, not at Ron's expense.

p.s. I have no problem with

p.s.

I have no problem with taking specific exception with people supporting Gary that are dirtbags.

This Dave Nalle guy is part of the libertarian camp that infuriated me in 2007/2008.

Bump!

Wow reading the comments...

meh. We all know what it is.

meh.

We all know what it is. It's called politics, and I refuse to lump everyone in Gary's camp under the same crappy principles.

They're will be people who prefer Gary, and there will be people who prefer Paul.

We have some supporters who will rip Gary, and then some of their supporters will try and lump us all together.

It's the time of the season. Collectivism abounds.

I personally think that the Paul supporters can take the high road, and not condemn everyone under the Gary tent, and when Paul wins the nomination, some of those Gary supporters will remember that, and throw their support our way.

Or we can be morons, and lump them all together and tell them to take a flying leap.

they admit Ron neither wrote the newsletters nor knew of them

until after the fact, which was 20 years ago, yet insist they will be an issue.

I doubt it, although I am sure they and others like them may try to make it one.

But it doesn't matter as far as their candidate is concerned, he is going nowhere regardless of who else is in the race.

argh, I did NOT mean to bump this, it was up for some reason on the recent posts list...

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

First, the Libertarian party is controlled by the Koch Brothers

Which is of course the reason they start with the anti Semite accusations. This is the reason why CATO and other Libertarians have supported the wars. The Koch's have been designated to controlling the Libertarian right for many years now, but have been able to remain obscure, until the rise of alternative news on the web. Those who continue to attack anybody who brings attention to 'conspiracy', really know nothing about Liberty. One of the greatest tools of building strength to revolt against the control of the Crown, was Thomas Paine's exposure of 'conpiracy' to wake up people to what was really happening to America. Their ultimate goals are to keep people following their puppet politicians and the media, and not to question their reasons for their destruction of the Constitutional Republic and are Liberty.

If you don't believe what I have said about the Koch's, go to www.lewrockwell.com and search Rothbard vs Koch. The Koch's forced Rothbard out of CATO, even though he was a founder, because he spoke out against their agenda.

freedom express

If you still come here.Thank You!Will be reading alot of information.Yes I did google Rothbard vs Koch alot of info.Thank You again trying to connect the dots.

Dave, with all due respect

you of all people should realize that a good portion of our efforts here are spent trying to deal with the incoming artillery from all angles, all the time.

So, when the vice-chair of the RLC decides to throw a molotov cocktail in here, on a VERY sore topic that was originally initiated by Dondero who has founding ties to the RLC, just exactly what did you think was going to happen?

Did you think we were going to lay down a bed of roses here for that?
Your guy opened fire, so don't be surprised at what's happening.

If I were Gary Johnson, I would be livid. There is no estimating how much support that cost him.
Congratulations! Your guy just alienated the only 2 non-mainstream candidates in the race, in one stroke.
Costing support for probably both of them, for different reasons.
That's just great, Dave.

so it's this Dave character

there's always a joker willing to screw it up for everyone....

just great Dave. just great.

Gary Johnson will never win my vote.

I don't know if I'd go as far as to say that he's "Bob Barr all over again," but I'd consider voting for him in the primary a useless exercise. He is not a candidate who could defeat Barack Obama at this stage in the game. Ron Paul could.

Having Johnson along for the ride in debates might be a positive thing, because it could spread the message that libertarianism is popular, but he doesn't have the charisma to be a winning candidate.

Aaron Biterman correctly points out in the hit piece that Congressmen are rarely if ever elected President, but Ron Paul has an advantage: He's famous, and he has millions of passionate followers. Gary Johnson doesn't. He inspires people. Gary Johnson doesn't. He has gravitas. Gary Johnson doesn't.

my take

Gary J shouldn't try distinguish himself from RP this early in race. At this point, he should be talking about all bills he veto'd and about the cost of the War on Drug. The GITMO position gets him nowhere. There will be plenty of time to separate himself from Ron should they be among the last men standing. Both of them benefit, by having the other out there agreeing on policy issues.

I really think the Governor should stop listening to DAVE NALLE!!!!!

The RLC should call for a "no confidence" vote on their Chairman.

(Sorry Dave, somebody had to say it.)

If anything perhaps Dave

has no interest in either one of them making serious progress, and is happy to see us turn on each other...

Pro-war on terror libertarians

are dupes for the military industrial complex, that they like. Like the Koch brothers, they turn a blind eye to "pro business" policies that gives special favors to their cronies.

"Pro-war Libertarian"

How is such a thing possible? That's like saying "freeze-dried fire".
