Texas Ballot

0 votes

Does anyone from Texas know if Dr. Paul is on the ballot? I was trying to learn more about being a delegate and I clicked on a link showing candidates and he wasn't listed.

Then I tried to figure out what the filing deadline was and it looks like Jan 3.

Now, I will be the first to admit that I am new to politics and am completely confused by all the rules, regulations and procedures so it would be great if someone in Texas can put my mind at ease and tell me he's on it and I'm just not understanding what I am reading.

If he's not and there is anything I can do, tell me. I live in Lubbock.

Thanks,
Tamera

This is very important.

Does anyone know how to contact the campaign? They should know one way or the other.

Don't Be Concerned

This really isn't something to be concerned about. Being a Texas congressman, RP and his staff are very well acquainted with Texas election law.

do they need signatures?

I'm from Houston

No

....my personal experience lies with the Libertarian Party, but we did not need signatures because the Party had automatic ballot access gained from the previous election. I'm safe in saying that this holds true for the Republican Party.

(edit) The times I ran I did not have to, but I recall that there are candidates who may have filing fees.

Jan 2

The filing deadline is 6PM Jan 2. It's not unusual for candidates to wait until after Christmas.
