Another reason to vote against Newt

Newt voted to grant China most favored nation trade status. As we now know, what was sold to us as the opening of China to US products the opposite happened. This has enriched US corporations, destroyed American jobs and made us poorer. Due to the trade deficit with China, we have made a once poor nation rich. Awash in dollars, the Chinese are not investing back in the US but rather purchasing energy and rare earth minerals to advance their wealth and power.

The article is very clear.

At stake is not just America’s relation to Libya, but to China. The whole of Africa is an area where the west and the BRIC countries will both be investing. A resource-hungry China alone is expected to invest on a scale of $50 billion a year by 2015, a figure (funded by America’s trade deficit with China) which the West cannot match.27 Whether east and west can coexist peacefully in Africa in the future will depend on the west’s learning to accept a gradual diminution of its influence there, without resorting to deceitful stratagems (reminiscent of the Anglo-French Suez stratagem of 1956) in order to maintain it.

Is there any wonder why the US has a new major war fighting command which is headquartered in Germany. AFRICOM. How man Americans even know this? What is their budget?

Mr Kent, your exclamations exceed standard newspaper width. You are not writing for the Globe anymore. Might your readers suspect you are exaggerating your sentiment on this subject. Don't mind myself. Of course I am familiar with exaggeration. I use it to good advantage from time to time. Would you consider limiting your exaggerations so that they fit in a standard column?

When you write a news flash, perhaps you might use some of your journalist schooling:

  • Who done it?
  • Where?
  • What? (maybe a sketch)
  • When? (which century?)
  • How? (optional)
  • Why? (minimally,"Authorities are investigating as to...")

Since I have no journalistic schooling, I am counting on you to balance our staff here.

We can share our enthusiasm. Make another pot of coffee if you drink the last cup. Fresh ground is best.

If you cannot act like the investigative journalist you are, I don't know what I am going to do with you. Travel Section? Gardening?

Anyway, shout out if you need help with anything. I cover most of the goings-on down by the docks & gaming houses. You can have all the wars & saving the world if you like.... Never was my thing.

btw, growing communist insurgency movement in India. Last 12 months - 45 police and 74 rebels/insurgents killed.

I can totally see a full-blown communist regime being established in India and possibly setting up a Chinese style government in the future, there is way too much disparity there. The extremist communists are seeking to boycott the next elections.

The communists in India have been able to make steady gains there by the looks of it.

Found the vid on MaxKeiser.com, another wonderful educational source, especially regarding banking, finance and precious metals. Occasionally R-rated, often hilarious, and great guests. About the only thing that I disagree with him is on global warming, he thinks that it is real. My news/education sources in no particular order are DailyPaul, Drudge, MaxKeiser, LewRockwell, PressTV and RussiaToday. The best part, it is all free.

According to the IMF, Libya’s Central Bank is 100% state owned. The IMF estimates that the bank has nearly 144 tons of gold in its vaults. It is significant that in the months running up to the UN resolution that allowed the US and its allies to send troops into Libya, Muammar al-Qaddafi was openly advocating the creation of a new currency that would rival the dollar and the euro. Now, the US or, more to the point, the corporatocracy, is doing it and is determined to punish any individual who tries to stop them. Qaddafi is but the latest example.

To differentiate their corporate fictions from real men and women. They hide behind THEM, the monopoly imposed fictional governments and other corporate fictions.

How exactly am I involved in THEIR Empire? The fact that I live in one of the countries occupied by THEM hardly makes me an accomplice.
