Ron Paul Blimp

I would be SOOO down for another Ron Paul blimp this year. I helped contribute last time, and I would def. support it again. Anyone know any other ideas for some Guerilla Marketing!???

I contributed to the first blimp

I think it was a good idea at the time. Back then anything that could get Ron Paul's name in front of the media helped. Now, I think the game is different. More people know who he is, the trick is to get them to understand the message. The tactic used against him is to dismiss him as a nutcase. We need to show the electorate that he is the sane one. I like the idea given below of public service projects. They're less flashy, but they really do convey the message of how true liberty can work.

Likely Voters

The enthusiasm is wonerful, but we are in a whole new ballgame now.
I was on staff w/ the blimp...and I hope you will trust me when I say that doing a blimp again is a terrible waste of money. It was great, sort of, in 07...but we need the activists to realize that primaries are won by reaching out to targeted lists of likely Republican voters. The blimp is like a giant signwave...and signwaves are FREE and you do those in between the boring real work of door to door canvassing and phone bank work.

Please don't be distracted by blimps....

This blimp

project shows all of us what can happen when we are unlimited in our thinking and courageous in our actions. There is no limit to creativity and achievement but our own sense of limitation and fear. I am excitedly looking forward to see where unlimited creativity will take this movement in the next several months.

chip ins for ads in cable markets like high tide

maybe even edit high tide to put in Ron's social security transition as one of the big issues people are concerned about, if Adam can do that, and get it on the air.

But ads definitely. Ron doesn't see what we see when we look at him.

that was really expensive though... and would we be able to fly it when we want to? I understand it was grounded during most of the primaries for weather reasons.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

some ideas

posting comments on popular sites like Youtube...

open a Twitter account and help spread the word.

if you own a car -- you know what you can make it look like.

wear Ron Paul t-shirts e.t.c.

chalking like this:

set up a website like I did:

it goes on and on
so much we can do...

There are better ways

to spend the money, in my opinion.

This is so overpriced and a total waste.

You can hire a speech coach and a host of other things for far cheaper than the blimp, which is likely to pay off a lot more.

We need to spend the money wisely - get the most effective for every dollar possible.

It's time to think like capitalists now.

Yes, we need to have fun, and we need play honestly and with integrity... and we also need to play to win too. Winning is more important than ever.

Getting a blimp, frankly, will not help us win.

18 wheelers =D

"Spread the Message"

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

Yes. Great moving billboards,

good advertising medium.

Whoever would do it, I think steering funds to do the trailer is a great bang for the buck.

Truck billboards are a great

Truck billboards are a great idea. Even if we got storage trailers along the highway painted. I have 2 trailers and plan on painting at least one of them. During the last cycle I believe there was a truckers for Ron Paul group. It would be cool if we could get 10,000 trucks to paint their trailers.

An idea....

This is an idea that I've been throwing around my area with some RP supporters. It's very similar to what Open Carry advocates did in NH.

One of the fundamental principles of our candidate is to get government out of the peoples lives. One criticism we get is that if the government doesn't do it nobody will. People no longer understand that this gap can be filled by average citizens who care. We Ron Paul supporters also have a pretty bad reputation among hard core conservatives.

So... In my area we're currently organizing some road side clean ups. We'll be taking two RP yard signs, all wear our best RP gear, bring some literature, and go clean up some trash! Should help with our image and will certainly be more memorable to people than just a sign.

Environmental cleanups are just the beginning. We are discussing food / clothes drives, a free movie night for kids at a local theater, etc. A good way to pull over some christian conservatives to our side is to donate food or clothes to a church! These are just some initial ideas and any suggestions are of course welcomed and encouraged.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

my opinion

Don't do it!

We need to actually WIN this year. There are SO MANY WAYS to spend the donators money.
