Why Some Ppl think Ron Paul = Jesus

Because you haven't seen a REAL Christian in a while...

If my fellow Christians out there can answer to this... we all know its true... a Christian is a follower of Christ. We are "called" to Resemble Christ...

All I Am Trying to do is

- Help some understand why SOME think Ron Paul = Jesus... It would be more accurate for them to say he "Resembles" Jesus because he is a Christian and that's what Christians SHOULD Do...

I was merely pointing out he appears more Authentic then most self professed Christians we've seen in the U.S. of A. (these days) and the FACT he doesn't wear it on his sleeve makes it look even more so (the Authenticity)

P.P.S. I hope you understand that I was simply trying to explain something for certain folks, no one is trying to make Christianity a focus in this campaign. Much like I don't try to tell ppl to believe in God, keep your own beliefs about his non-existence to yourself. We can talk about the philosophy of both of them but lets not try to attack each other... were all in the same boat here.

It does nothing for the Campaign.. at all.. I spent the morning canvesing.. way more productive than the site these days.. the posting here is getting very off topic.. sad really.. I get so frustrated with this place I feel like hanging it up so I go out canvesing to forget about it.. I used to stay up all night prowling here for obscene and sexually eplicent posts that were bieng posted...

Why some people think Ron Paul IS NOT Jesus

t is abhorant to equate any man with Jesus if he was who those who follow him claim to be. If Jesus was both God and man in the flesh then you are equivocating God with Ron Paul.. This statement lacks any religious sensistivity and is a derogatory statement to thier faith as well as the logical underpinnings of Ron Paul.

Ron Paul does not equivocate individuals with other individuals in the personality sense.. Liberty is Liberty to each individual and respects each as a separate entaty with powers and rights afforded to him by the Creator. Not equivocating him to the Creator is foundational to John Locks On Freedom message.. I.e. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, -- i.e Each person is intrinsicly endowed by the Creator.. Notice the distinction! There is no equivocation so your questions about RON Paul equating to Jesus is absurd and shows a lack of understanding of logic as well as the philosophy that underpins the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of independence. The topic is abhorant to all Christains and Non Christians if you think about it.. because if we are the same individuals with no distinction then we create the rights and thus they can be abrogated by us.. very very very wrong...

I totally agree with the premise. I happen to be a Christian and a pastor but I'm also a big fan of separation of church & state. The forefathers suffered under a church-state and never wanted to do it again. I know a lot of fellow Lutheran pastors who would be OK with the removal of "In God We Trust" from money and "one nation under God" from the Pledge, on the principle that it's never the government's job to preach. Christ didn't say, "Give to Caesar what is God's."

Personally, my blood boils when I see a candidate using his faith like credentials or being pressured into doing so. Dr. Paul's a breath of fresh air. He refuses to buckle to that pressure, while remaining unapologetic about his faith. That's perfect balance.

Martin Luther nailed it: "I'd rather be ruled by a competent atheist than an incompetent Christian." Religion's not the issue, record is. In my opinion, RP is head and shoulders over the other guys on both.

You obviously do not know anything about the history of this country. It was built on Christianity and our founders were Bible believing men.

You are a myth

Our whole country was based upon the undeniable fact of God's existence. Read your history. Also, RP did use the word God in the recent ad.

Religion is different from a knowledge of God's existence. Religion is the way you act in regards to your beliefs about the ultimate cause of all that exists, or in relation to your views of meaning, morality, destiny, and origin. This obviously differs with many people. But as our own history and foundational documents show, God's existence is evident.

Completely disagree

The founding documents reflect the BELIEF in God's existence on the part of the founders. "Nature's God" or "Divine Providence" is not a signatory to the Declaration, "he" is merely referenced for political purposes, which was perfectly appropriate when denouncing the head of the Church of England, George III. He is referenced nowhere in the Constitution itself, however it presumes in its language the existence of inalienable rights, which were expressed in the Declaration. No human document could possibly prove the existence of a supreme universal being.

Religion is based on belief, not objective knowledge or actions. Actions and organizations within a Religion are expressions of the core beliefs, and exist to promote and sustain the beliefs. A non-practicing Catholic, for instance, might consider himself a Catholic because he believes in the core doctrine, but he sleeps in on Sundays and watches football, and can't remember who the current pope is. His actions don't change what religion he is.

One thing we can agree on is yours and my freedom to believe as we choose. That's the reason Ron Paul rules.
