Yeah. It is about time...

Here is a link to 40 mins of the NH speech after the event. I put this up earlier and have moved it to a better position:

A+++

Oustanding Speech!

Plenty of congressmen

and senators are coming up for re-election next year. They would be wise to ride in Ron's wagon....Look what happened last time.

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783
"I have one word for you...predator drones. Oh, you think I'm kidding?" Obombya

It's about time...

It's about time we had a real presidential candidate.

Who is the person

Who is the person that introduces Dr. Paul?

"Ron Paul cured my apathy" (one of my favorites)

The true enabler of the people, living things and creatures.

"But Empire building also bears the seeds of its own destruction. The closer a state comes to the ultimate goal of world domination and one-world government, the less reason is there to maintain its internal liberalism and do instead what all states are inclined to do anyway, i.e., to crack down and increase their exploitation of whatever productive people are still left."
~ Dr. Hans-Hermann Hoppe

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

what a real American president is."

Ron Paul is Awesome.....

I still wonder why some people in our country believe that the government should take care of them? Where did that come from? I was raised to take care of myself, and my family, work hard, and save. Why didn't a lot of our population get raised that way? I will tell you why. A lot of these folks aren't legal, We have way too many giveme programs, and a lot of these folks have chosen not to get a decent education, or even try, yes some do not have the I.Q to do so, and a lot of these folks are simply lazy, and have figure out how to work the system. In the business I am in, I have these women that come in for work on their cars with their tatooed up "boyfriends" fresh out of prison that say to me, "I know my car needs work let me see if the state will fix it for me". Nine times out of 10 they come back in a couple of weeks with a government check for us to fix their car. It makes me sick to think that these women are allowing their boyfriends to sell drugs out of their homes, and collect welfare, and food stamps, and have children living in this environment, and not only that I get to pay for all of this with my taxpayer dollars. What has this nation become? It is back ass-wards in my opinion. I say we cut all welfare, and start making these woman that are having babies make the fathers pay, if they chose not to name the father then they need to go it alone, no more welfare period.

Then be part of the solution!

support private charities that do the work. What is the woman supposed to do if the man chooses to be a dead-beat about it? I can see your point to some extent, but what if that 'father' (and I use the term in the biological sense only here) chooses to be a dead-beat, or simply cannot find work? Then what is she supposed to do? I'd like to suggest that the faith community needs to stop abdicating its role of care for the poor to the federal government. We have been in dire straits twice, and both times our respective congregations stepped up to the plate and accepted our convictions that we should ask them before the government. May the number of churches who minister like this increase!

then the solution would be for her...

to go to her church and not the government to fix her car...her family could be an option

what is she supposed to do? make smarter choices about men, for a start (and that works both ways)

IMO you are falling into the trap set by

statists. You blame the victims rather than the profiteer-politicos who deal lifelong poverty to those gullible enough to be snared by promises of government "care." Further, your stereotypes are offensive in a movement that honors individuality.

Generational poverty, substandard education, minimum wage laws and licensing that exclude people at an entry level all leave terrible scars in a society. the young people you talk of have few options and are propagandized by those who betray their naive trust.

Finally, the comments in your post are harmful to the liberty movement. Most people are concerned for the welfare of misfortunates. Your attitude that it's their own fault is just the sort of commentary that hardens the belief that libertarians are less sensitive to the less fortunate than bleeding heart authoritarians. It is absurd, but you play right into their hands with such views as expressed above. I assume you wrote in a rush of anger. But to be an effective spokesperson for liberty, you need to clarify where the fault lies and place the blame properly while finding ways that victims can truly benefit from living in a peaceful, free, and LOVING culture.

Apparently the poster below didn't understand your point,

I did. The point missed is that we need to explain the difference between forced 'charity' that often does more harm than good, and true charitable acts: federal government schools that, at best, major on minors and vice-versa, that do a poorer job of education the more money they receive, and scholarships to private schools that truly give children give a real education, for one example.

More examples can be given, including the example of unemployment compensation as it was originally enacted. Also the idea of the 401K's being taken over by the government is so blatant anyone can see the criminal intent of this. We need to also show compassion for the needy ourselves, so we cannot be declared as thoughtless just because we oppose government aid on principle.

au contraire, my dear fellow, i understood completely!

"true charitable acts"? did she go to her church first?

..."federal government schools?" I'm sure Dr. Paul does not support those (I know I don't).

the one who misunderstands is you! You cloud the air with so many poorly worded comments above no one can follow your train of thought.

reedr3v...

you are part of the problem!

you blame the individual here (CArealpatriot) after he has made some bold statements about initiatives that would be required to get this country back onto its feet again

he has stated the problems succinctly but you, my fine socialist friend, want to accuse him of being insensitive?
we'll see how you react when this whole country goes down the tubes because people like you cried "save me" rather than, "i can save myself" to the "government"

stop the WARS, end socialism in America!

Some of the "bold statements", trashing the unfortunates,

made by CArealpatriot are simplistic caricatures of people in need.

reedr3r, I believe, was pointing to the risk of resorting to treating people in need with such contemptuous stroke of a brush.

Individual compassionate hearts are absolutely necessary for our Freedom Movement to succeed. Big bankrupt governments can't, shouldn't and won't be able to rescure ANY of us in need. We each will be helping ourselves and each other individually.

ecorob's picture

this is where you are wrong...

and you preach the politics of fear!

...in this country, in a world with less government intrustion and less taxes and control of every facet of our daily lives by the government, in THAT world, a girl could go to her church, to her family, and receive the help she needs

we live in a tremendously charitable country and that fact has been proven time, and time again.

these truly needy people you speak of will never be forsaken in this country and we, the people know that as a fact!

peddle your fear elsewhere...

as for your last statement...
"Big bankrupt governments can't, shouldn't and won't be able to rescure ANY of us in need. We each will be helping ourselves and each other individually"

you got that right, imho...so my question is why are you driving us there?

DId I just read you right? Did you just call a DP poster who

has worked for restoring our Republic in ways you know nothing about a socialist? You missed his point entirely! Maybe my post will clarify the issue for you.
