Drudge: Ron Paul: 'These are the kind of people running the IMF'...

http://drudgereport.com/

The leader of the International Monetary Fund now embroiled in a criminal assault case in New York City was cleared in 2008 of harassment charges after an affair with an IMF economist.

But it's that kind of behavior that should make the world wonder about trusting the IMF, Rep. Ron Paul said Sunday.

The 2008 Republican presidential candidate told "Fox News Sunday" that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who was pulled off an Air France flight moments before take-off from New York Saturday and arrested on charges of a criminal sex act, attempted rape and unlawful imprisonment, said the whole course of events "is a bit ironic."

Strauss-Kahn Arrest Bolsters Push for IMF Changes

The arrest of International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn may bolster a drive by Brazil and other emerging markets for a greater voice in the selection of the IMF and World Bank chiefs.

Strauss-Kahn, 62, was charged with attempted rape in New York, and his lawyer said he would plead not guilty. The former French finance minister was chosen in 2007 to a five-year IMF term in keeping with an informal agreement dating to the end of World War II, under which a European heads the Washington-based fund while an American leads the World Bank.

Policy makers such as Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantega say the arrangement sacrifices merit to diplomatic deal- making and doesn’t recognize the growing economic clout of developing markets, which are set to grow at more than twice the pace of their developed counterparts this year. The arrest will give them added ammunition, said Eswar Prasad, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington.

To thank drudge. He likes Ron although he didn't post anything about Paul announcement. You can thank him in 'news tips' on the right below the headlines. :)

he already said "Ron Paul... He's in!" and it was up for 12 hours as a main headline and a photo, so he's already said that Ron Paul is in, no need to repeat.

I'd be suprised

If these charges weren't trumped up. Not that I'm in favor of the IMF ,and I've never heard of this guy,but it happens all the time.

what happens all the time???

IMF to Sell Gold to Raise Bail for Strauss-Kahn

WASHINGTON -- After an emergency meeting of its Board of Governors on Sunday afternoon, the International Monetary Fund announced that it would sell gold to raise bail for its managing director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, charged Saturday with raping a hotel chambermaid in New York.

The IMF's first deputy managing director, John Lipsky, taking over while Strauss-Kahn was held in a lockup in Harlem pending a court appearance, defended his boss. "The maid was Argentinian," Lipsky said, "and you know how those people are with their international loans. Dominique probably couldn't help it. Force of habit, you know."

Lipsky would not quantify the IMF's new gold sale but he said it would be enough both to obtain the release of Strauss-Kahn and "to ensure orderly transactions in gold, the dollar, the euro, the pound, the yuan, the Swedish krona, the Brazilian real, the South African rand, the Mexican and Argentine pesos, the Mongolian tugrik, and any other currencies in which a market might threaten to break out."

Gold in Asia fell more than $5 to $1,489.20.

I think about $14 Trillion

ought to cover it.

The IMF can send $14 Trillion worth of physical gold to the US, in order to bail out Strauss-Kahn.
Sounds fair to me.

global currency.

I thought the global currency argument 4 years ago was a little unlikely. Guess I was wrong. Paul should mention that he was right about globalists and the new currency.

This I kind of get.

I am however still searching for the rosetta stone that will help me to unlock the meaning of many of your other posts. Early analysis indicates that the text is reminiscent of an arcane dialect which was in common use around the late nineteenth, early twentieth century. Translation is painstakingly slow, but all indications lead me to believe that, once unlocked, it will reveal revolutionary insights of great import.

Simple. You are StillWater. I was raised on the Big Muddy.

Mississippi River, the Big Muddy to me, looks the same day by day to an untrained eye. Oh, just a second. Here it is. This explains differences of till water & the Big Muddy.

'They sung "Jolly, Jolly Raftsman's the Life for Me," with a rousing chorus, and then they got to talking about differences betwixt hogs, and their different kind of habits; and next about women and their different ways; and next about the best ways to put out houses that was afire; and next about what ought to be done with the Injuns; and next about what a king had to do, and how much he got; and next about how to make cats fight; and next about what to do when a man has fits; and next about differences betwixt clear-water rivers and muddy-water ones. The man they called Ed said the muddy Mississippi water was wholesomer to drink than the clear water of the Ohio; he said if you let a pint of this yaller Mississippi water settle, you would have about a half to three- quarters of an inch of mud in the bottom, according to the stage of the river, and then it warn't no better than Ohio water - what you wanted to do was to keep it stirred up - and when the river was low, keep mud on hand to put in and thicken the water up the way it ought to be.

The Child of Calamity said that was so; he said there was nutritiousness in the mud, and a man that drunk Mississippi water could grow corn in his stomach if he wanted to. He says:

"You look at the graveyards; that tells the tale. Trees won't grow worth shucks in a Cincinnati graveyard, but in a Sent Louis graveyard they grow upwards of eight hundred foot high. It's all on account of the water the people drunk before they laid up. A Cincinnati corpse don't richen a soil any."

And they talked about how Ohio water didn't like to mix with Mississippi water. Ed said if you take the Mississippi on a rise when the Ohio is low, you'll find a wide band of clear water all the way down the east side of the Mississippi for a hundred mile or more, and the minute you get out a quarter of a mile from shore and pass the line, it is all thick and yaller the rest of the way across.'

Still waters run deep.

Altissima quaeque flumina minimo sono labi
The deepest rivers flow with the least sound.
Still waters run deep.

From The Oxford Dictionary of Proverbs/2003:

STILL waters run deep Now commonly used to assert that a placid exterior hides a passionate or subtle nature. Cf. Q. Curtius De Rebus Gestis Alexandri Magni VII. iv. 13
altissima quaeque flumina minimo sono labi, the deepest rivers flow with least sound [said there to be a Bactrian saying].
c 1400 Cato's Morals in Cursor Mundi (EETS) 1672
There the flode is deppist the water standis stillist.
c 1410 J. Lydgate Minor Poems (EETS) 476
Smothe waters ben ofte sithes [oftentimes] depe.
1616 T. Draxe Adages 178
Where riuers runne most stilly, they are the deepest.
1721 J. Kelly Scottish Proverbs 287

"Ain't nobody in their right mind ganna catch your drift!"

Your kind & thoughtful letter will dispel my friends chiding. "Ain't nobody in their right mind ganna catch your drift!" is oft their refrain. They keep telling me, "Get back to work." Today I am plastering 3 walls. Those walls, though they be 3 against one me, will be restored to their original state... "by the twilight's last gleaming." They will be mended. I will stand ready to whitewash "by the dawn's early light."

Rosetta Stone goes back, way back before my time.

You are looking the right direction. "Original Intent," means that words used hold their meaning. Our founding fathers put to parchment prose declaring & defining our form of governance. The words of our Declaration of Independence," 1776 mean what they meant to our framers. A good reference would be a dictionary complied before that time in history. When interpreting history, a dictionary of the era is a common point of reference. I especially like Websters from our countries founding up until 1913. From 1913 hence, when describing money matters, monetary words by & by resemble wolves in sheep fleece.

This month, I have cited the Webster's 1913 edition repetitively in the hopes that folks would see what parades as a money system & monetary policy is folly.

My underlying theme is simply we are lead to believe wrong headed nonsense. Even a modern dictionary leads us awry.

Some folks have higher credit scores & seemingly corresponding power than others by paper proxy. It just ain't so. When curious adventurers seek out the origin of accounting entries in modern finance, they come away aghast. I wish for folks to take stock in themselves & make improvements in what they see needs fixing. I spend all day long fixing stuff. There is plenty of work.

One task is to move toward integrity with sound money. It is an enigma wrapped in misconstrued words, compounded by centuries of lies.

Ron Paul has an excellent grasp of this enigma. He is leading us toward integrity, sound money, responsible governing, & moral principals.

Rosetta Stone was a useful discovery for translating ancient Egyptian to Greek. Before my time. Never used it.

If you just settle score with 1913 being the year our monetary system disappeared, you will start to wonder what it is like to be one of the richest of all men on earth. Alas, you are. Most think the grass is greener on the other side.... Well, grass grows pretty easy. Other things are more of a concern. I am ever hopeful.

    Ro·set·ta stone noun \rō-ˈze-tə-\
    Definition of ROSETTA STONE
: a black basalt stone found in 1799 that bears an inscription in hieroglyphics, demotic characters, and Greek and is celebrated for having given a key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphics

Ah, now I understand.

No, in all seriousness, I understand more of your posts than I led you to believe. Granted, my use of the term "Rosetta Stone" was taken out of historical context, but it was meant only to be used in an analogous fashion to exaggerate the degree of obscurity present in your writings by mentioning a key that had been used to unlock the meaning of a more diffucult language which had baffled linguists for a long time. When I have been awake for a long time and in dire need of sleep I lapse into a state of mind where all things become humorous and the object of sport. It's all in good fun though. :)

I must admit, you do have a unique way of presenting your subject.

Ron Paul Rising

First he had to win us over, and he did..and then some.
Now is part two.
He just won over world appeal with that lone comment.
It sent shock waves through wallace and the establishment.
Now drudge has it posted.
That was a big dart to throw.

This comment stood out for

This comment stood out for me:

"It's very odd that it comes just at the moment when people are talking about the IMF and its head taking a lead role in creating a new global financial order which will not necessarily be to the advantage of wealthy, right-wing Americans," a French economist and government adviser told Britain's Observer newspaper.

I guess it's no longer a conspiracy theory that those lunatic globalists want to bring about the destruction of the U.S. dollar so they can create a new fiat global currency... Thankfully, they're not going to achieve their goal of global economic domination.

Dear God...

I was about to post the same thing. How blatant can you be? He is explicitly saying that they want to establish a New (World) financial Order, and impose it on conservative Americans. Like Ron Paul said, the conspiracy of ideas is a very real threat to our sovereignty.

Important distinction:

Paul actually said "but others want to go to a world fiat currency."

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Fox news still calling Ron Paul A 2008 Candidate.

Why are they calling Ron Paul the 2008 Republican candidate when he wasn't the Republican candidate? They also do not mention his bid for 2012, not so subtle way to mis-inform.

oh for goodness sake!

Encouraging

The article said the creeper had no immunity. We shall see, but this certainly puts a bad face on the IMF. That is just the sort of publicity the NWO needs.

reedr3v's picture

I am a tad concerned since the man is

so far only accused; he certainly has not been proven guilty. I'd definitely suspect he is guilty of the lesser crime since he is guilty of major international financial crimes and is the sort of arrogant elitist who would not respect a simple "mundane." But RP sticks out his neck a bit to presume the man's guilt; still it probably is worth the risk to make his point about the IMF.
